I haven't on a Tundra but I did do the same swap a couple of weeks ago on a '15 Chevy. 6" RC to a 6.5" BDS with Fox's. Customer bought the truck used and had money to burn. Pretty cut and dried, basically swapping parts for parts. The only thing I ran into was needing a few factory bolts that the RC kit had eliminated.

Thanks for the info, seems pretty doable then just the overall cost and time.

Definitely doable . I think I had about 7 hrs into the swap and some of that was cleaning up someone else's sloppy workmanship.

If you want a good sturdy Tundra Insert for the back tailgate.. go to Amazon. Tuffskinz are super durable.. a little more pricey than the others but worth it
