Should be an easy question for you electrical lighting guys, but just want to make sure. Recently bought a RC bumper light bar that came with a push button switch. I bought the rocker switch and just want to know which wire is what on the original. Original switch has white, blue, and black running to a relay. New rocker has negative, positive and out. I know someone has done this previously.

    Black to -
    White to +
    Blue to out

    Is that correct?

I didn't like that original button switch either. I had an extra Rigid harness so I used that. The only thing I didn't like was the big round plug that is on the light bar itself.

So If you buy the cali raised switch will it be the same connections on the RC light bar?

Pretty sure I cut the button off and wired to switch using my own wiring

The switch from CR will be a 4 wire switch: source, backlight, power indicator, ground. You can wire that up any number of ways, depending on your needs.

Okay, I’m really dumb when it comes to wiring. I just got the RC 30in light bar and was gonna buy the CR oem switch. Just wanted to see if that video is basically the same wiring instructions for the RC light bar. Don’t wanna mess anything up.

Yep. You can use that video and it’ll work just fine.

Yes most light bar wiring is standard across the brands.

Ok so this is great but I am trying to use the “plug and play illumination harness” from Cali raised and they only have 2 leads coming from the switch after you install them.

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/plug-and-play-switch-illumination-harness?variant=39506469453866

so if my RC switch has 3 leads how should I be wiring up the two from the switch to the 3 on the light harness? The video does not show that wiring setup. Do I have to cut and splice into one of the others that is fixed in the illumination harness?
