Rough Country

Does anyone else have issues with Rough Country?
I placed an order for a bed mat in July which they required immediate payment for. Once the order was placed and paid for they advised that I would not be getting the order until late August (mind you they already have my money). I just talked with them and they advised that it will be further delayed and put me into voicemail when I requested a manager. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in regards to this company and their business practices!

 

My side steps and tonneau cover were shipped fast and smooth. No issues for me.

 

Also, waiting for a bed mat.

It is late august. What's the problem?

 

Yes I ordered a bed mat and a tonneau cover in mid July. Bed mat delayed until 8/23 (appears to be further delayed). Tonneau came very quick.

 

That sucks, I ordered a bed mat from them a couple days ago and it did say currently restocking but didn’t know for how long.

Also waiting on bed mat. It’ll get here eventually so I’m not worried about it. I think they’re having supply issues which are out of their hands. I would think they realize people have been waiting and getting impatient and they would love to get those out to the buyers asap but they’re at the mercy of whatever supplier.

 

Also ordered a mat. It showed backorder until 23 AUG when you ordered it...

I reached out and someone promptly emailed back and said new expected ship date was 25 AUG - it didn't ship Friday.

 

I had been watching the RC bed mat for a few months. Shipping has always been a month out because it was backordered/being restocked.

I finally pulled the trigger on it this month. You can't beat the price, plus they're a bit thicker than the Toyota brand. I knew it would take a month or two to arrive, so I got in line and ordered one.

I'm sure you can cancel your order if you're unable to wait or if you want your money back.

The Toyota bed mat is in stock. But they're like $160 + shipping.

 

I agree - at the price point and quality for me it was a a no brainer to go with RC. I don't mind waiting.

 

Same issue except I ordered mat in early June. I’ve ordered a tonneau cover that I returned due to damage and caliper covers ( no issues). I didn’t mind waiting but date has been pushed 3 times. I also know that my negative review on cover isn’t published so makes wonder.

 

I ll say it, RC customer service is trash in my experience. Have a tri fold tonneau, had a couple different issues with it. First , RC never responded. I had to go to their ebay store to finally get a response, took 10 days. Second issue, they have the parts for the issue but responded once, then ghosted me since last monday. I will not purchase from them again…gonna sell it and buy a diamondback or the like.

It’s Rough dealing with Rough Country. My pet peeve when a company does not stand by their products or at the very least provide customer support.

 

They just emailed me back. Now estimated shipping date is tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

 

I talked to a rep on the phone said the mats are showing instock as of today but no ETA on when they will ship. I'm assuming sometime this week.

 

Bed mat shipped today. Ordered 7/24, just got an email with tracking.

 

Yes same here they just sent me the tracking email!

 

Well damn. I ordered a little over a week ago and got an email today from Rough Country apologizing for the delay. They attached a PDF to the email that was supposed to give me the latest estimate for a ship date and all the information on the PDF is blank. At least some of you that ordered in July are getting your stuff.

 

A lot better than Toyotas lame key fob debacle.

 

I ordered the bed mat in July as well, also got shipping confirmation yesterday. I bought the tri fold hard tonneau cover, came fast. Had a minor defect with a rubber gasket where one of the folds is. I used their text line for customer service, no issues they had me text a picture and sent a replacement out that day. The bed mat was on back order when I placed the order so I expected to wait. But yea the bed mat sure got here faster than my elusive 2nd fob.

 

Ordered August 10th. Shipped today on August 30th.

 

Just got my tracking information

 

Had lots of issues. Ordered the Power Steps, Retractable Bed cover, and Bed Mat. I got the steps within 2 days. Other items were back ordered. Every monday the Bed cover would push to the next monday. Finally they shipped the bed cover, but sent one for a Silveraldo. I got pissed and cancelled everything. They then sent me information to return the bed cover, and told me I had to drop it off at a fedex location. I told them that their bed cover was sitting on my porch where they left it, they can have fedex come get it. They did not want to do that until I told them I was now disputing the charges for the items. I worked with Matthew Chandler, he was very condescending and generally unpleasant to deal with.

On a sidenote, real truck managed to ship me a retrax that day, and i got it 2 days later. Comparing it to the silverado one I had from rough country, the fit and finish is alot better also.

 

Received my shipping notice late yesterday and ordered on the 21st. Looks like everyone is going to get their bed mat soon.

 

The elusive bed mat! This is literally how it arrived at my front door. Hope there wasn't anything else in the packaging.

I'm surprised how heavy it is.

 

Ordered my RC bed mat 8/15, delivered today. Should do just fine.

 

Received mine today. Laid it out in the sun for awhile to heat up and flatten out. Nice and thick and should last a lifetime. Has an interesting smell.
