I bought a 2006 limited a while back. Working on it today and I disconnected the battery for a few hours. When I hooked the battery back up, the emergency lights flash and there is a blue light on between the steering wheel and dash. It doesn’t start or even try. Battery is good and I tried jumping it just to be sure.
    Some kind of security system?

Have you tried unlocking the truck from the inside first? I know it sounds stupid, but some cars have security systems like that.

That light looks like it's buried back in there. My WAG is a security system. Maybe aftermarket? Time to get all bent out of shape (physically) and see what that light is attached to and check for names or numbers.

Called the guy I bought it from. He said “oh yea, there was an alarm”. Supposedly some wires that can be connected and she should start. Try that over the weekend

I was just gonna say: Aftermarket alarm issue. Get someone to uninstall it. Aftermarket alarms have a limited shelf life. Used to work for an audio/tint/alarm shop. There's always someone out there to chime in and say, "Yo, mine's still going 15 years later!" but it's sadly not the norm these days, and it wasn't even bitd when I worked at the shop.

    Which wires did you cross?
What guy told you? I have the blue light issue also. After jump starting, the blue light started rapidly blinking and truck won't start.
Please elaborate on exactly how you fixed it!
    I would be so grateful!

He hasn't been here since days after his last reply in 2023. In general, blue light in dash means KARR alarm, or SECURIKEY+, which was a dealer add-on. Remove the alarm ad the vehicle may start. Or try unplugging the brain.
