I have a 2024 TRD Pro coming my way in the next few weeks and want to get some idea for the running boards. Dealer is quoting me $1450 to buy and install the TRD Running Boards. Just seems like a lot for steps but at the same time I want it to look good and have good function for my wife and kids.
    https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/running-boards-d-cab-pt76734220

    Quoted these for $850: https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/running-boards-black-pt92534222

I also found these that don’t look too bad. https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-cab-length-hd2-steps-srb072291.html

Any opinions on what to go with would be great. Photos would be super helpful to if you have any of them for your truck.

    Thanks y’all!

Dayumm, $1,450 would probably get you power folding steps!

I’m honestly just looking for something cheap that’ll help my wife and kids get into the truck that doesn’t look like crap. I don’t plan to do any serious off-roading, I have my atv for that. I’ll take a look at both of those vendors though.

I bought the TRD steps from BAM Wholesale and installed them. It might take 10 minutes to install both sides if you do it alone.

Awesome. Thanks. I’ll probably just do that. I installed some running boards on my old Chevy Colorado so I’m sure I can manage that. Thanks for the recommendation.

Several pictures at different angles here:

Your Pro will be a short bed, so you won't have as much of a gap between the back of the boards and the rear tire.

Would you say the texture of these is comparable to what is on the OEM bedliner spray? I have that, and just got the diamondback cover put on and would love to keep that same look/texture if these boards match.

It’s almost the exact same as bed liner.

Yes, same texture but from what I can tell, it’s way more durable.

Nice thanks for the the feedback.

I think the bed will be durable ... enough... with the diamond back on it. I'm hoping/expecting the diamondback will be pretty durable though.

I had powder coated frame sliders on my Tacoma and they didn't hold up very well over 7 years. Main focus on looking at the board is a little step but mainly to block the road grime/cinder they put down in the winter in the PNW.
