Running Boards, Side Steps, Nerf Bars... 1st Gen Trucks (Modern Options ??)

I was looking to see if anyone has done custom or found a place that sells the N-FAB style Running boards? Anyone attach the stock Tacoma style to their trucks?

Mine are the old style Westin and honestly from a function stand point useless.

 

There was some talk about Victory 4x4 starting to offer them for something other than DC trucks, not sure where that's at though.

 

I measured the above posted style on a stock Tacoma today. From top of step to bottom edge of door it is 6 inches. My style only has 3.5”. I’d like to see even further maybe 8” from door.
