    Hey guys,

Just wanted to provide some pictures and feedback of the new dual swing high clearance rear bumper i had made by @STravis who owns sob fabrication.

Travis is an awesome guy to deal with and stayed in contact all throughout the build of the bumper. The fit and finish exceeded my expectations and I did not have to modify any part of the bumper. It is solidly built and overbuilt in my opinion. It’s definitely built to take abuse. I had him add tree savers “bedside protection” and build me a Jerry can holder. None of these requests were an issue for him. This is by far the best high clearance bumper i have seen for the tundra and i recommend if any of you are in the market that you check out this bad ass unit. If you all have any questions feel free to ask away and i will help any way possible.

    Looks good!
One thing I’ve learned since having my high clearance bumper, and I was warned by another member; unless the rear corners are boxed in or reliefs made, dirt, mud and other road debris love to get slung back into those corners and cakes in there pretty well. Nothing to be concerned about, just remember to get the hose up in there every now and then

Hit the inside with a good coat of Fluid film for longevity.

Looks awesome. Is there a hidden hitch?

Million dollar question, how much for all of it?

Yes hitch is behind license plate and is built stronger than the factory one. The dual swing with jerry can holder and tree savers cost me just under 3K.

thats including the cost of the actual bumper too? 3k sounds like a good deal if its total for everything.

That includes everything minus shipping. His prices will go up soon as the cost of raw metal has gone up tenfold.

The high clearance stuff isn't appealing to me as I don't do trails and the massive amount of body trimming can easily go awry but you've done a helluva job with all of it.

    Badass look

Thanks man! I will mostly hand wash it when I do. White is a very forgiving color this truck has its fair share of pinstripes.

Looks great! Can you post just a regular, non-artsy photo of the side of the truck from a bit of a distance?

Yes you can remove them by taking 1 bolt out of each side.

Looks great! Too bad Toyota put the BSM sensors in such a low spot. If they'd used the tail light assemblies like Ford, this bumper would probably work!

One of the best looking bumper out there and the high clearance is done right. I have no need for this but want it just because it is badass.

Hey Mrf1987 … you did an awesome job on that truck… looks great… I’m too poor (and cheap)… so I’m dreaming vicariously through all your mods to your truck… If you can find a moment… Over in ‘Suspension’…. can you update what your new springs and rear suspension are? Is all that rake from your springs?…I’m contemplating a set of Alcans for my sagg- ass (trailer)… Thanks

Thank you sir, my new springs are 1200lb over stock and 2” of lift. That with the alcan shackles that provide .5” or 1” of lift gives me what I’m currently at. My truck is heavy weighing in at 8k lbs and these are working just fine.

on the front I’m running king ext travel 2.5 fronts with 700lb springs. I could probably use 750lb but I’m content with the truck right now.

That trucks a beast… 1200lb over stock!..haha:rofl:..Sweet!… Are they 3” leafs?(wide)…. Did you go with King’s in the back as well?… looks a lot higher than 2.5”… but I’m good with extra rake…

Leafs are stock 2.5” width, I wanted all the articulation i could get. They are paired with some king 2.5 remote with adj shocks. I’m looking to do a shock relocate to get more travel and sell these.

Hey so I came across this thread again and I have a question, did you do anything about relocating your rear camera or does it still work with the swing outs?

Hey man, rear camera is still in factory spot but it is obstructed quite a bit. I can still see enough to back up to a trailer. Rigd makes a camera relocation kit i just haven’t bought one and installed it.

Unrelated question: do you have anything inside ARE cap in order to support RTT weight?

Nice! One day I'll have to weld a weight distribution/support frame myself.
