Has anyone installed Sanooer tow mirrors? I bought them off ebay for a good price, but the diagrams and directions are horrible. They come with spot lights that can be wired to the reverse light, but I'm thinking about adding a switch so I can control them when they come on. There is a separate wire harness with a simple white positive and a grey negative. Would it be possible to wire this directly to a switch without the use of a relay? There is no mention of amperage draw for the light, but most switches I see, are rated for 3 amps. I can't imagine these led lights draw more than 3 amps. Any help is appreciated!

Yes it would be possible to wire them to a switch. Just identify which wire is the power and which is the ground. 2 small LEDs could be wired to a switch robust enough (rated for enough amps). Or, my personal favorite, to a relay controlled by the switch with a dedicated power source.

Any constant 12v source would work, correct? Is there a need to protect the leds with an inline fuse? Regardless if I use the switch or wire directly to the reverse light.

always a fuse. And you’re not protecting the LEDs, you’re protecting the wire from current overload in the case of a short. But if you use the reverse light as the feed, it is already fused.
