I have always thought the seats in the Tundra (Limited) were pretty flat even when adjusted. I’ve been looking at the DDI seat Jackers for quite a while and almost bought them during the last sale for $160 (2pair), but did a search on here and found another member that bought some from eBay for a fraction of them cost. After a brief discussion with the member I pulled the trigger on the eBay spacers and waited a few days for delivery.

I forgot to take pictures of them prior to install but you can see what they look like in the description on eBay. The description does note they fit other models which had me concerned but figured it was backed by eBays guarantee fit policy so why not give them a chance.

A couple weekends ago I installed these seat spacers without any issues.
They come with detailed instructions and were very easy to install.
Loosen the back bolts, take out the front and then bolt the spacer down then bolt the front of the seat and then tighten the rear.

No issues with the Husky mats either.

Just like the DDI Jackers, they don’t cover the carpet area 100% so I added some black gorilla tape to help blend in. Once everything is back together, you can’t really see anything anyway.
I personally think these look better than the DDI Jackers as they contour the truck better.

After a few days of driving and adjusting the seat, I found the position I like.
Just like the DDI Jackers, they raise the front 1 1/4” and help support your thighs more. I’m 5’8” and my wife is 5’3” +/- and we both think these make a big difference and add comfort to the seats.
It now feels like we’re sitting in a bucket seat rather than on a bench seat.
If you are on the fence about adding seat jackers and don't want to pay $160+ for 2 pair, these are a good option for about a 1/4 of the cost.

Can you share more details about this black tape covering area's? I see in one pic where the factory seat mount is round, and the carpet is cut in a way that this would be seen. Is that what you're referring to? Or where did the tape go?

BTW, we have very similar trucks, '21 Limited CM TRD-OR 4WD CM's in Cement. Love the truck.

As you can see in one picture, there is black tape that covers painted metal where the carpet does not cover 100%. I’ve seen similar pictures of the DDI Jackers that did not cover 100% either. You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to, but since I had some black tape available, I went ahead and installed it before boating the new spacers down. As you can see in the pictures, you probably wouldn’t see this once everything is back together and the mats installed. Hope this makes sense but let me know if you have any other questions.

I think I get it, I was expecting black electrical tape, and it being smooth. Seems you had a tape that was textured to some degree. Appreciate the clarification.

Did you have to get new bolts or was there sufficient bolt length to ensure proper engagement?

You reuse the factory bolts to mount the spacer to the truck. It comes with new bolts to mount the seat to the spacer. All fasteners appear to have sufficient thread length and tightened up without any issues.

I too went the eBay route. At $42 shipped for 2 sets? I can definitely not feel bad about it if it doesn’t work out.
main reason for this alternative route is because after reading through the other thread on the DDI seat jacker, I’ve come to a conclusion that it is not for short people like myselft, at 5’4”. So i didn’t want to shell out $90 for 1 set to just “play around” with. Difficult to swallow when it doesnt work in my favor.
I got it installed tonight. Initial impression: i dont know yet. I just sat in it. Have not driven the truck yet. Did some pre-adjustment but need more seat time to get it dial in. Feels different. Everything else, TBD at a later time. Sitting on the passenger side, my legs are literally dangling. Lol.
    Here’s how it arrived.

I have the original, DDI versions on both front seats. At 6’9”, I do what ever possible to get more comfortable. I had a pair that I bought for my 2013 2nd gen…but they were too tall. I opted for 5 fender washers under the front of the seat instead.

Fast forward to my new to me 2018, and the DDI seat jackers are perfect! Glad I had them on the shelf for a few years… probably the most comfortable “stock-seated” truck I have ever owned.

I am 5'8" and have a limited so you may have more adjustability than me. I used the seat controls to raise the front of the seat as high it would go, then adjusted the other seat settings from there. (I adjusted the overall height down, then moved it forward and also reduced the amount it reclined) Adjust in small increments to get it to what you like and then give it a couple weeks for your body and brain to get used to it.

at 5'10" My guess is that you would like them. It really does make it feel like a real bucket seat now that they are installed. It's crazy that 1 1/4" spacer makes this much of a difference.

Many thanks for this tip and link. I always thought my cloth seats were very comfortable and never noticed any flat issues. After installing my Katzkins and the Degreez the seats felt flatter and different, I guess because the leather and the pads make everything tighter vs. sinking into the seat. These seem to help, will know more after driving a little more. If I'm being picky though, the design makes the holes very tight, and I had to use a slider clamp to get everything to align and get the front bolts in, even leaving everything loose. I only installed the driver side which is power and will know if the passenger manual side binds any after installing. Kit is packaged well and the parts look great otherwise. I think I'll try a piece of black carpet vs tape over the painted area.

If I had the carpet on hand, I would have used that rather than the tape. Regarding the install, that is surprising. I had no issues. Once the front bolts were out and the rear was loose, I installed the front and them tightened them down 100% then moved to the rear to tighten them back down without any issues or binding.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who wanted to try these but felt the cost of the DDI Jackers was too high.
My (short) wife still compliments how this simple riser made such a big difference in comfort.

Also grabbed these eBay versions and with my SR5 seats, its much more comfortable with proper support for behind my knees. After having been spoiled with BMWs extending seat bottom I now need to have the support under my knee or I am not comfortable at all, although I dont find the tundra cloth seats terrible like some do

I think i may remove mine. Im just too short, 5’4”, for these. I found that i can’t get comfortable with my left leg daggling, the right foot wont flat heel. I dont like the foot hovering over the gas pedal. I want my right foot heel to touch the floor and control the gas pedal. I have more control of the gas pedal this way. I also noticed if my left leg is daggling, foot not flat on floor, my knee joint gets uncomfortable. Like over extend. The joint kind hurt after an hour on the road.. this is even at the lowest height setting. So, i think they gotta go. Not for me.. will leave the passenger side fir now..

Today was my first drive into work with them...still undecided. The quality appears to be good so that's not the issue.

I do like the view better. We're taking a 3+hr road trip on Friday, I'm sure that will help me decide as well as the wife in the pass seat.

I just installed mine and they are great! Mine aligned perfectly and no issues torquing them down. I’m 5 10 and they do make a big difference. I installed the passenger side in for my wife and she told me she didn’t notice a difference lol, I’m like how!?

I did have a question, I do like the front multi mount panel that DDI sells. However I don’t think they fit the eBay ones. Anyone know where I can get one? I only saw ones that fit the Tacoma and 4Runner on eBay, but nothing for the tundra.

It takes a little to get the seat re-adjusted since its now a different position. But once you get it dialed in, it should be a lot better. For me, I found i needed to pull the seat forward some since this angled the seat back a little. I have the DDI version but I'm tempted to get this ebay style for my passenger seat.

I was wondering the same thing about the MMP. If you find an answer, please post the information.
I am curious if one made foe another model would work, (Even if it had to be modified slightly)

I ended up removing the set in the driver's seat, it just never felt quite right for me. The wife likes them in the pass seat so those will stay.
