Just want to learn a little, is there a way to remove the pump and all the hardware then install the bypass kit? I just hate leaving parts on the truck that are not being used. Asking just in case I get this issue with my truck.

I'm pretty sure you don't have the pumps on an '04. Pumps were included in 05-07 with VVt engines. As to your question, the pumps are housed under the intake manifold so the point of the Hewitt kit is to avoid the headache and time of disassembly to reach the pumps.

Oh got it yea I definitely dont have VVT, and yes it's would be a pain to take the manifold off.
