I have a 2010 tundra the only code it's throwing is the secondary air injection pump so I replaced both. After I got done fixing it, I test drove it ran great, the check engine light was off everything was good. I got in it this morning and now the lights are back on and it's doing the same thing it was doing before I replaced them, im fairly certain it's put itself back into limp mode. What else could possibly be the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you replace the Air Switching Valve? This maybe the culprit. What are the codes?

I took the cable off the negative on the battery the lights went off. Hopefully by doing that it might have reset.

Did you scan for codes before disconnecting the battery?

No. I honestly didn't think that would work so unfortunately I did not scan before disconnecting.

I am guessing you scanned the codes initially to know the air pumps were bad and you got a 2nd CEL that you assumed was the same problem there is a good chance you had a different problem ( possibly the valves). By disconnecting the battery it may have gotten rid the code temporarily I would expect the code to come back

whenever I get a CEL I scan it every time don’t assume

That's what I'm thinking also, as soon as it comes on I'll put my scanner on it. And I'll post here again. But when I first scanned it was only throwing that code for the pumps.

CEL came on again now its saying 101, 441, and still 2440. And the 2440 are the pumps I just replaced.

P2440 is the air injection valve bank 1 ( driver side). If you change 1 side I would do the other

P101 is your Mass Air Flow sensor( check the connection and remove from air tube and clean with Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner if that doesn’t fix it you would need to replace

P0441 is the evap system most common reason is your gas cap either replace or make sure it’s on tight

I replaced both, and at first the 2440 was the only code being thrown and now the others are throwing on top of 2440. Is it possible the truck isn't reading that they are new?

You had said you earlier that you replaced the pumps, the pumps and valves are 2 completely different parts. The other 2 codes are unrelated to the SAIS

OK see, I didn't realize that. So the code is the exact same code. I think it's 2440. So when it threw that code, I replaced the secondary air injector pumps. Once that got done, it's still saying and doing the exact same thing, so with that being said. It says bank one is still stuck open. So did i replace the correct part? But I didn't replace everything dealing with that code.?

Correct. You needed to replace the switching valve Bank 1 which is the drivers side. In your case the valve is stuck open
