About 4 weeks ago I had my check engine, Traction control, and 4LO lights come on. The truck threw code p2440. I replaced the Bank 1 check valve and truck has run fine since. Yesterday we had a really cold day and while idling the check engine came back on. Code p2445 popped saying Bank1 Sec Air pump stuck
Are bank1 and bank2 the same pumps? I was planning to just replace both while I’m down there. Also, can someone recommend a brand to get? Toyota has the pumps for like $400/each but I see different brands online with prices all over the map. Thanks

If you can install a bypass and be done with it, do it. No use in fooling around with these janky systems. I understand emissions testing may exclude it but.....

I think I’m sold on the Hewitt Tech Bypass. I live in the northeast and it gets pretty cold up here in the winter. Any known issues with the bypass with the freezing temps?

I have the Bypass and it works pretty good. I do get the secondary code and have to clear the check engine light so I keep a scanner handing in the glovebox. No problems due to cold weather.

@Jaymohn moto I'm looking into the Hewitt, did you install a seperate Pressure sensor option with your hewitt? It's an extra $200 but might take care of that code if the switch was damaged before the install.

I installed the 2.0 kit and the extra dongles to replicate the connection to the engine. No issues in 18 months. When I am checking error codes there is occasionally a pending code for the AIP but it clears before it becomes a permanent code. I also removed all the actual AIP equipment and the ECU doesn't care due to the Hewitt kit. The thing I noticed right away is how quiet the Tundra is after you turn it off or on (since there are no vacuum pumps running).
