I’m really loving my Tundra and really don’t want it stolen. I’ve seen how easily thieves rip out alarm wiring and steal the car. The best solution I’ve seen so far is the hidden kill switch. The ones I’ve found to purchase are typically a fuel pump interruptor. I like the idea. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience installing/using these. I wouldn’t use it every day, but when in high theft areas I would like an option. Also, I work with the Sheriffs Department so I stay current on problem areas.

They aren’t rocket science to install or anything but you are introducing one more point of failure into the system and it’s soemthing that can stall the car or cause a no start condition if the Chinese switch goes bad.

I’m not saying don’t do it but I feel like you would be better served by good insurance.

This is one instance that I like not having a push button truck.

Having a chipped key is not foolproof, but pretty effective.

Some of the better kill switches I’ve seen are factory buttons without the factory option. By that I mean not having the tow package but installing your kill switch to a tow/haul button.

Cool, must be one of those 'Smart Key' push button start/stop systems.

I use the passenger up window switch..
It's wired to a relay and the starter wire. Not invincible but would slow someone down a bit. It's been in use since 2014.

Friggin' thieves ... I hate 'em. They need to meet up with the Smith & Wesson smart key system.

I moved to Mexico in 2002, installed a kill switch on my 2000 Tundra. Never had a problem. In the early 80s I went to Tijuana. Took my coil wire when I parked my '72 2002Tii.
