My goal was to have my Air Injection Pump bypass relay integrated into the factory box.

**Note: that taking apart this box can cause wiring issues if you are not careful and it will be noticeable to a tech if your under warranty.**

I made the referenced metal clip of 26 gauge sheet metal, folded in half.

You will need to insert the metal clips into each of the plastic clip connectors which will allow you to keep them released and separate the top of the box from the bottom of it. I cut the wires off of an unused relay socket and shrink wrapped them together for storage.

Obviously, you will need an unused relay socket to do this. It might be easier to procure one of these sockets and insert the appropriate wire sizes into the terminals beforehand, rather than cutting existing wires from an unused socket.

Its difficult, but you can get new cable ties on once it's put back together.

    The End.

Very helpful photos. How did you get to the back cable tie? I can't reach it and not sure how to cut it.

I am attempting to replace the fuse link block and have to get the box seperated to access the second 10mm bolt. Any ideas?

Awesome idea to run aux circuits through the OEM box. Didnt realize until today that there were so many unused slots.

Were you able to find part numbers for the micro relay socket and mini relay sockets? What terminal type do the backside of the sockets have?

Sorry by “terminals” I mean the plastic retainer thing that houses the spades. It looks like those retainers are modular: my fuse box has both Bosch and micro relay retainers with the same outline. If I knew what those part numbers are, I could simply order more and create additional circuits. Do you have those PNs?

Also, few days ago I purchased a junk yard matching fuse box. I’m going to pull parts from that fuse box and install onto mine (or attempt it) when it arrives next week. Could make for the cleanest tundra wire job

I don’t know because I just reused an existing one, sorry. I think you are right though, they appear to be pretty generic.
