Hey guys I’m new at this so bare with me. I have a 2013 tundra. I was installing a sub and amp when I realized the previous owner had already put a wired everything. I used the wires I installed but was cutting his wires out. Everything was working great until I snipped a wire that was not hooked up on one end. When I cut it something shorted. Now my gear shift is stuck in park, windows ,radio , air and wipers do not work as well as battery will not start truck. The wire I cut was attached to a wire coming out of the ignition switch. I checked fuses already. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have you respliced the wire and done a hard reboot by disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes?

Yeah, might be a good idea to disconnect the battery when cutting wires. Not like I always do but it is a good idea. Check your fuses. Disconnect the battery for a few like @gosolo said and be sure the wire you cut isn't grounded out when your reconnect the battery.

    I bet it’s a blown fuse.

Was replacing electrical engine mount on maxima, and cut the harness to remove that sucker.

Upon job completion, car wouldn’t go into gear.

Fuse related to the gear was blown.

Pop the clip on the gear lever to manually engage gear

    Check fuse!!!!

The truck was running and the radio was working great. When I clipped the blue wire the radio, air, windows, wipers stopped working and shifter was stuck in park. The battery keeps draining quick too. I’m going to put a meter on all the fuses when I get back home.

I know! I had the battery disconnected during the install but reconnected to test. That’s when I clipped the old wire. I didn’t realize it was connected on the connector because the other end was cut and left by the previous owner.

Thank you guys for all of the feed back! It ended up being a 7.5 amp fuse on the driver side cab fuse panel. All is good. Now putting on dual exhaust
