Should I still buy a 2024 tundra TRD Pro if I plan to put a 6” Lift?

Hey everyone! I been on the waitlist in California for a TRD Pro Tundra @ MSRP for 2 years. My time has come to be able to purchase one. My dad works at Toyota and is telling me it would be a waste of money to get a Pro when I could get a limited and lift it. I like the Pro grill and interior plus all the other extras. Do you guys think I should get the Pro and lift it down the line or just get the limited and lift it right away. I also like the platinum. I wish there was a way to lift the pro without changing the fox shocks.

I wouldn't want a 6" lift in the first place. But I wouldn't do it to a Pro especially. It's based on the Limited already. I'd look more 1794/Platinum if you want the extra comfort goodies. Or just go Limited/SR5 and same some coin

The grill.and badging isn't worth the premium price tag for a Pro but at least you'd be able to sell the takeoff Fox suspension.

Pretty sure I've seen some posts of the dealerships changing out grills mustaches etc before delivery

I have a '23 Pro...I love it but if I were to do it again in near future I would probably go with a Platinum as it has more tech & luxury/comfort features. Would probably swap tires maybe a small lift. Pro is based on Limited trim but with the obvious exclusives.

Thanks. This really helps a lot. I don’t want to make the mistake of over paying. I want a luxury interior with an off-road set up exterior.

What size lift you think is good to run some 35 or 37s? I want it to have a great mean stance but not to the point my gas is guzzling on road trips.

If you lift it 6 inches and throw on huge tires you are throwing fuel economy out the window. You can't make that kind of change and think you have a snowball's chance in hell of not sucking fuel like crazy. You need to manage your expectations and be ready for way worse MPGs than you are hoping for.

6 inch lift would be a bracket lift, which I would stay away from. Anything over 3 inches lift for our trucks will be some sort of bracket lift. And no, I would not buy a pro if I planned to swap out the suspension.

If you want lift and major mods, start off with a well equipped sr5 and mod as you like. You will get the look and performance you want at a fraction of the cost of modding a pro
