    don't laugh.

had to use an old 110v - converted it to 220...so only 12amps.

the red crate is the Harrop box...next to it is the spare rear tire - everyone has a spare rear tire, right?

and yes, the charging cable is hanging on the joist...so that "someone" does not run over the cord.

If a contractor bid it, they're at least getting $100/hr for labor.
Either way, it's clean and done right

You dont have to have a sub from Tesla's site install. I used one I knew of that has installed plenty of them and is a certified master electrician.

Using the Tesla charger at 120v it almost burned my house down. Fried every neutral in the panel so I installed the NEMA at 48amps and it works great. Cost me under $50. Also helped that my panel is in the garage. image.jpg

The outlet is ont the other side of garage. I still need to strain relief it so it goes upwards and over all the BS in the garage.

And yeah, PSA for anyone else that's curious.

*When charging on a 120v 20A circuit, make sure it's dedicated and you only pull 16 amps max on that circuit. Breakers are not designed for continuous max current (20A draw on a 20A breaker).
Confirm all connections are tight and you'll be just fine.
