To those who have tried… any of those off-the-shelf spray paint brands/colors close to SSM? Or, is there an affordable way to get SSM in a spray can? I know I’ll get haters, but thinking about changing the red to SSM or chrome.

Local paint suppliers can make it for you in an Aerosol can. Automotivetouchup.com is a good source as well.

Thanks @Tundra234 - any easy way to mask off or use some kind of release agent the back area of that “TRD” lettering? Was thinking about Plastidip, but I have no experience with it.

Automotive Touch Up. Used it to paint match my chrome grill surround. Worked well, color match isn’t spot on, but very close. A little pricey, but worth it IMO.

Got pics of that result, @aelarson ? Grill surround will be the last thing I do; I was thinking about taking it to the professionals … just seems like a hornets nest for my skill set with prep, color and clear coat.

Yessir! The prep is certainly the most important part. Sanding was the tough piece - that chrome shit is solid stuff. Painting was easy! Take your time, light coats.
