I’ll say “Hey Siri, what’s the population of Moab Utah” and I’ll get an answer.

Then this microphone icon will not go away no matter which buttons I push. There is no exiting this microphone.

The only way to disengage it is to disconnect/reconnect the phone to the truck.

    Any ideas?

ps. The population is Moab in about 5500.

I ended up with that issue last week. I think I interacted with Siri about a text message, which I never do. It irritated me enough to stop the truck and restart it to make it go away.

Yup, same thing happened to me once. Honestly, I can't remember how I got it to go away but I did. Sucks getting old.

This happens to me about 80% of the time when I start my truck. The only way I’ve been able to get rid of it is by pushing and holding this button and after it beeps I press it again and it goes away. I don’t understand why this pops up almost every time I just start the truck without doing anything.

Happens to me every time I drive my truck. Push the radio on/off button.

The volume knob is an on/off too? My 1996 T100 was much less sophisticated!

I get this on mine every couple weeks. It usually goes away after 6-7 minutes. I believe it is the Apple CarPlay having the mental malfunction as it has just been doing it for about 3 months.

I have found that a quick tap of the volume/power will release it. If not, a long press to shut it totally off, then a short press to turn back on will clear it.

    Totally annoying.

So out of nowhere that icon got stuck today on my dash.
    Me: Hey Toyota?
T: What can I do for you?
    Me: Stop listening!
    Boom! Gone!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Only happened once. I just disconnected the phone from the system and then reconnected. Siri had disconnected.

I believe that’s called a Freudian slip. Siri is always listening, she just forgot to tell you she pretended to stop…

I know this stuff is getting scary fast

    Just the other day

    Microphone on siri listening,

Me: siri what is going on, the mic is on your stupid siri
    Siri: that wasn't very nice
    Me: well crap I'm sorry
Siri: no need to apologize, no worries

My wife was in the truck laughing and I said this AI crap has really advanced
