Just got a letter from Sirius XM, it's FREE from May 22 to June 4.

 

Good deal. I put a XM radio in a couple years ago and really enjoy it. I was paying $14.56 a month for all Access and just renewed early for $11.99.

 

I just signed up for $4.99

 

Is that for All Access for a year?

 

Select 200+ channels, online and in the app.

 

That's darn good. I've got their top of the line subscription, All Access, which is supposed to be 150+ channels with 5000 hrs of streaming and video online. Maybe I need to call XM.

 

I would, it's 1/2 the price.

 

I'm on their site now and the only subscription plan with all channels, app, streaming, and online video's included is what I already have. It shows Select Plan with 140+ channels, All Access with 150+ channels with app, streaming, online vids, plus another extra 100+ music channels, and there is Mostly Music with 80+ channels. Yep, need to call to see if I can shave a couple $ off.

 

I have it all access for $60 a year. Just keep saying to expensive and they drop price.

 

I got 6 months for $26 or something like that. You need to let your subscription run out and then the cheaper offers come. My free trial ran out and this deal was there the next day.

 

Mine runs out in June. I just cancelled my renewal offer. I'll renegotiate then!

 

If you don't mind an external unit you can pick up Lifetime Subscription radios on eBay. The radios are pretty solid the only thing that killed my first one was multiple rain storms in my Wrangler but it was 8 years old at that point.

The ones on Ebay say "possible " lifetime subscription. Is there a catch?

 

Some say that and some don't. Only catch I know of is you can't transfer the subscription to a new radio since you aren't the original subscriber.

 

I just might check those out. I use an external XM as it is now. Can't hurt and might save some decent $

 

I like having a particular prepaid card for accounts like SXM.
You load it with only the amount that you're willing to pay. In a year, when they try to charge a huge amount, it doesn't go through. You then negotiate and let them know what's on the card that they can charge. Works well.

 

It's pretty great I think I paid $400 for it back in 08. Well worth it considering I can't keep the same FM station all the way to work.

 

I just got my renewal from Sirius. Same old fucking game. $54 for 3 months. Up from $40 for 6. Told them to take their invoice an put it where the sun does not shine. I called and emailed. I played this game twice and told them not doing it any longer.

 

With local tax my renewal rate would be around $9.99 plus approximately $2 in taxes.

 

I bought 2 lifetime subscriptions on a wicked deal back in 2003-2004. I paid $500 total. I can and have switched tuners and radios. There is no limit on how many times I can switch, first 3 are free, then only $50 after that. I've switched 4 times so only $50 so far and by now it has worked out to be about $1.25 an month... Not bad I guess.. only down side is that there was no such thing as streaming music back then so that is not available to me. They wanted like $4 a month to add web/streaming features, but I honestly would never use it any. They always run specials, and you can Always call them up and bargain with them!

 

Damn that is a killer idea. I have to call Sirius next week to cancel my plan since they will charge me $215. I will see what they throw at me for new quote. Been a subscriber for 10 years. Should have bought the lifetime subscription when they offered it.

Actually it's $11.99 for 1 year for all access. They wouldn't go down any lower in price.

 

I just did the 6 months for $29.94 deal with XM. I always let my subscription lapse and call to negotiate a lower rate. Sad that we have to play this game with them every 6-12 months. I sure wish they still offered the $500 lifetime deal.

 

I got the year for $117. No howard stern or opus and Andy. Dont want them anyways. Got nascar channel though! Works for me

 

That is too high for me. My last 12 months were well under $100. For the most part I just listen to a couple of channels. I would not even get it but I have very limited phone and radio reception on hunting ranch. Anything over $40 for 6 months will be a no go for me.

 

For which subscription? There are 3 levels.

 

#2 had to go there to get nascar channel

 

I have no idea. I need to research because I certainly don't need the highest. They have not responded yet to my "take this invoice and stick it". Maybe they don't need me but that is not what I hear. I hear they need every subscriber they can get.
