    a1_176649B.jpg Is there a tutorial that shows a step-by-step how to perform a smoke test on a 2007 5.7L?
A YouTube video, or a thread on this forum that did not appear in my search?

I have a recurring CEL, and it's not the gas cap. Thank you.

I've seen pics of someone using the brake booster hose as the smoke machine input and putting a latex glove over the throttle body to keep the smoke from escaping the air filter, but I'm having trouble finding it.

I have seen some videos including Scotty Kilmer, but I still don't know what the procedure is.

    Pretty basic steps:
Remove hose from brake booster and attach hose to smoke machine
Remove air intake from throttle body and put a glove over the throttle body (prevents air from escaping and will inflate once smoke starts flowing)
Turn on smoke machine and watch for leaks (may take a few to get enough pressure to start leaking)

It turns out that my locking gas cap was the culprit... it lasted a little more than 3 years and the rubber O ring still looks good, but it would not hold pressure.
