[SOLVED] How to change boot screen on Kenwood DMX1057XR and DMX1037S 10.1" floating screen

Has anyone figured out how to change the boot screen on the Kenwood 10.1" floating screens?

Tried some youtube tricks on smaller units and they won't do it.

 

This might be one of the youtubes you tried, but it worked for my double din Kenwood.
The image had to have the EXACT parameters as in the instructions.

I am sure he did what's in this post below because its exactly what I did to make it work.

 

Pretty similar. I chased down a kenwood tech - there are some changes. File size is 1280x720.

also - the tapping sequence is
2 top left
2 bottom left - but ABOVE the 9 key
Then repeat with 1 tap each.

 

Other than the 1280x720 was anything different? I have the exact same radio and wondering if the text file needs to be different?

 

I believe I used 9999 as the model number.

 

Other than the 1280x720 file size, did you have to use a different text file or anything? I have the

It worked perfectly; all I did was use a 1280x720 and changed version to 9999

I know this is a super dead thread but I just installed this HU did everything like in the videos changed the image to 1280x720 changed the version to 9999 and when I go to the customize screen it is just red and never takes. Any suggestions?

 

Are you guys talking about the boot up screen that just stays on for a few moments? (I think mine says Excelon)

Or the wallpaper screen background? (Like the wallpaper of my truck/trailer)

 

The actual boot up screen that says excelon. But I did figure it out. I had the text command wrong.

 

So trying this in my sequoia. Can not get the tap sequence to work, anyone do this in the last few months?

 

What was the text command you changed, I’m still just getting the red screen

 

So, from the video above there is a lot of downloadable files, just download the text command from there. Then add your picture. That's what I did and it worked perfectly

 

I tried the sequence and when I get in the customized tabs some are grayed out
