Bought a slightly used '21 SR recently and they only had one key and one fob for the aftermarket remote start. Not sure if it originally came with the separate factory fobs for the locks, but I at least want to get a spare key made. It's an H key which I believe has the chip. Anyone know what a dealership charges to cut and program a new key?

I have a 19 pro and just did this as I wanted a spare as well mine came with 2 Keys with all the unlock, lock and alarm stuff on there so for my 3rd key I just wanted a basic key like you have pictured and they cut it and programmed it cause it has the chip and I was around 100 bucks

Thanks. That's not too horrible. I'm glad you didn't say $2-300.
I was on my way to the truck to leave for work the other day and realized the key wasn't in my pocket. Went back in the house, looked in the usual spots and nothing. Long story short, I spent almost 6 hrs looking through every bag of trash in the tote, the recycling, every box and bag in the house and garage, the laundry, if you can think of it, I looked through it, under it and behind it 4-5 times. I even broke into the truck, thinking I locked them in. I eventually disconnected the battery, thinking I must've dropped them in the driveway and someone picked them up with the plan to come back in the night.
Turns out, when I got home from work the day before, I noticed the elbow and little water diverter at the bottom of the gutter was knocked off from the wind. I set my stuff down to fix it and somehow left my key sitting there when I picked up my work stuff and walked away. I was glad I found them, but pissed that I wasted all that time and effort looking. Needless to say, having one key, sucks. If it was $200, I'd bite the bullet, but glad to hear it's $100.

TomsKeys will also hook you up for around $100 end to end, or slightly under that, bit more DIY but looks really convenient if your local shops are higher priced.

Glad it all worked out for you ! Something I shouldn't prolly advertise but the reason I bought a 3rd spare was for the reason you described but actually to keep underneath my truck in a gorilla box with super strong magnets I have an extra key extra viper alarm fob extra batteries a key to my under seat storage so in the event that something dumb on my part happens I'm covered !

Not to hijack this thread but I see my 2007 has a "Transponder key" so I am assuming I have to get it from a dealer? Thanks for any help. Cripe I remember when a key for a car ignition was .79 cents at any key shop. What a PITA.

Yeah it has a chip in it I'm assuming and while there are other companies like toms keys wich is around the same price as a dealer I just used the dealer for convinience factor there right across the street ...

I went to a smaller mom & pop place that made me a new chipped key for my 2018 for $75. A fob style wouldve run me around $275 they said (but just needed a spare)

That's a pretty good deal I wanna say they charged me 75 just for programming and the key was 25-28 something like that
