    What is the preferred spark plug for the 5.7L engine? And what's the spec for gap?

    NGK prolly since it's Japanese. Really can't go wrong with those.

    Should always check gap. Some kid in the stock room could have dropped it.

    Did mine last week. Original plugs had 170k kms on them. Originals are denso iridium so that’s what I replaced with. Bought from the dealer and they’re pre-gapped. Here’s a photo of the 170k plug condition if your interested

    Looks like these engines are really easy on plugs. That's good to see. I'm getting a list together for my 100,000 mile service coming up this year. I'm going to do everything I can myself.

    Denso, at 130K miles. As mentioned...pre gapped. Always check the gap though. Shit happens.....

    Mama Toyota recommends Denso SK20HR11. The gap on the new plugs should be 1.0 mm to 1.1 mm (also known as 0.0394" - 0.0433")

    I never felt the need to stock up on 5.7 spark plugs with a 130K mile redo. I did buy a substantial supply of NGK plugs for my two snowmobiles while up in AK. Went through them a lot like after a bad burrito...I was a "Life" Scout back in the day....1972

    looks like you are set for the next million miles............. lol

    I don't like to leave in for 100K, do them every 50, but have been lazy and at 65K will do them this Spring with next oil change. Not a big Denso fan, usually use NGK, but will look into the Densos.

    I replaced the plugs on my 07 at 98K/12 years old. Replaced the plugs in my 14 at 120K/ 7years old. Waste of time and $. Both times plugs looked new. Just sayin..
