Yes, I know your going to tell me to go OEM. I know. Ive priced it out, OEM cam bolt stuff and LCA will run me 1100$ CAD... thats absolutely insane.

Does anyone have experience running AC Delco Gold LCA's? I know moog and mevo are garbage, AC Delco has usually good reputation though?

For SPC cam bolts, is it really that bad? Anyone have good experience with them?

Whatever you buy, DO NOT walk away from the counter if the sleeves are not steel.

Yeah, this plastic sleeve is the problem. I can't speak to the Moog. They're not the company they used to be. They don't make all of their own parts anymore, outsource a lot, and quality has suffered.

    It disintegrates, smashes, cracks.

That is not an application where plastic is necessarily appropriate.

I bought these at fleabay. They look and feel like OEM, but at 1/2 the price (and no doubt 1/2 the quality). A better bet I thought than the ones shown earlier in the thread.

    ↑ this.

There's only about 1/8" of engagement with the cross member on each side. And that transfers whatever load is on the control arm/bushings to the chassis.

They'll work for a temp fix if oem is on order and you have to have the vehicle back. Otherwise skip em.

Nope, but they are identical to the OEM parts.

Didn't...the alignment guys (supposedly) did. Just be sure not to tighten them at all until you put it on the ground.

I used the ones from RockAuto last year. The bushings are not the right length. Because I don't have fistful of cash I ended up fabbing up my own with a stick of carbon steel from Grainger. If i can find the pictures i took of them I'll post them. Had to massage a couple thousandths off the bolt and it worked fine. Keep in mind I'm working on a jalopy, with no budget, and I'm not off roading etc... But what I did was at least as good or better than what they gave me.

    Fair enough!

@w666 do you have a big enough torque wrench where you could quickly check how tight they currently are? Reason for asking is most aftermarket ones don't torque high enough as stock ( 207ft/lbs I believe) , like the SPC only go to 150, which is not enough to hold the alignment. If these torque that high that would be great

Also, how long have you had them on for now?

Not likely, at least for the next few weeks (busy season at work). Torque should be 96 ft/lbs, at lease according to tundras.com

@w666 yea I did see 207ft lbs a few times factory ones, definitely more than 96. How long have you had these for?

Where are you getting that OEM cams are tightened to 207 ftlbs? 96ft-lbs is the torque spec per the FSM.

Found it. Like assassin10000 said there needs to be an 1/8" sticking out each end to fit in the slot in the frame mount. As you can see even the back/Camber mount bushing is a fat 1/16th short.
    Below is this kit:

Yea I only saw that from a few posts on this forum saying Toyota torque is 207ft lbs and SPC only does 150, so it's far from enough. No solid data sheet to back that up though, but it did come from multiple different posts / members

The factory service manual with torque specifications for much of your truck is easily accessible on this forum. I would reference that first before relying on what people say here.

I would honestly use the 96 ft/lb on the SPCs too unless their instructions state otherwise. But I don't reccomend using the SPC cams either.

Edit: SPC's cams indicate a 150ft-lb torque spec per their instructions https://www.spcalignment.com/instructions/25445-INS_WEB.pdf

2nd Gen Factory Tq is 207 on the LCA bolts. SPC TQ for 2nd Gen part n 25450 is 198 front LCA bolts and 227 rear LCA bolts. Likely the confusion

No I do not provide wrong information, this is a discussion specific to 1st gens. I don't give a single crap about your 2nd gen.

No, you're the one that's wrong because you're posting in the 1st gen section.

Sorry Gents, that "you still provide wrong" was not intended for either of you, and I actually thought I had deleted that and didnt know it posted. Anyway, I was just saying that the person that thought it was 207 tq is likely confused because that is the 2nd gen tq specs. Didnt mean to imply @des2mtn was wrong.
