Ok inside of the Bed of my 2007 Tundra looks like ..... No Rust or anything like that Just a mess from years of hauling Tools, Material and large wood beams scraps (5.5 inch thick x 12 inch wide by 6 to 8 foot long) that have totally destroyed the paint the truck has 190K miles runs fantastic.

No longer will be loading it that way and want it to look good again to use for camping and turn the bed area into sleeper area.

So the Question is what is a good DIY spray in Bed liner? I already went to different do it for you shops and the prices around here are nuts and because it is so scuffed up along with dings, dents I get the Can't warrant it from some places.

What if you hit any bare metal spots with some primer and then do a BedRug?

Yes I plan to do a full clean and primer any areas that need it however Just not familiar with the different brands of Spray in bed liner stuff that is out there and wonder if anyone has done it.

Oh now I know what "Bed Rug" is and that looks real good.

I’ve done Raptor liner many times. It comes out great and is very durable. You’ll need a compressor and the kit comes with a spray gun.

I have a compressor however it may be too small (5 gallon) I sure I could borrow one to use.

I’ve used a 5 gal to spray it. You may need to let it catch up here and there, but I would suggest a bigger one.

    @RichterScale
Well after a bunch of looking at multiple different Options along with considering what I am going to use the 6'7" bed of the Truck for- No camper trailer just the Boat fast weekend camping trips I find that the padded BedRug will be the Best fit. Found that we have a Local Dealer- "Fat Bob's Garage" that charges the Same price that order direct cost, and I got to see the same thing installed on a 2018 Tundra and it certainly look darn good. will post a picture or two when done.

Good deal. I had one in my 2011 for 3 yrs.
Dog hair and sawdust are a bitch to get unstuck from the carpet fibers, but other than that I loved it.

If no dogs or cutting lumber on the tailgate (which I did like an idiot), with the cap on the back that rug will stay looking nice forever.

I used Herculiner in mine. Preparation is everything. And best thing is, it cost a little over a $100. Later I put a rubber bed matt in. Not the best photo. But you can see the driver side an tailgate done with Herculiner. Then the bed matt in there too. IMG_2527.jpg

Durabak. Not a spray in liner but rolled on. 1 gallon gives you two coats. Best part is that it's available in an array of color options. Watch the video on their website. It's a bit on the long side but helps you understand the usefulness of every do it yourself liner available. I did mine then added just the bedrug mat to the bottom and tailgate. Love the end result.

A further note on bedrugs and their sizing. They make one specific for trucks with drop-in liners and one for trucks without. Get the right one so it's fits accordingly.

Yes I went directly to installation dealer and the counter guy knew the difference and verified all measurements to make sure because my truck bed is actually 6 foot 7 inches so care was taken to match correct product.

If I was just going to use the Truck bed that way that is what I would do however I plan to use it as a weekender camper when I just like toss the cooler in the back with sleeping bag plus padding and hitch the Boat or the PWC with fishing poles and go No fuss deal.

@RichterScale BedRug Done! it certainly was a bit of work and time I just decided to have it done even thought I could have done it myself but I pulled the Boat in to the Garage to look for the trailer issue I been having that is I would be driving around 65 to 70 with boat in tow and all of the sudden the trailer would do the "Shakes" found that one of the spring mounts bushing shot so pulled the entire axle to redo the entire setup. But big Shout out to FatBobs Garage in Layton Utah for getting it done.

Looks good. I had one in my CM with tonneau and loved it. I have the 8' bed now and really want one again, but they don't make an 8 footer.
So, while I'm happy for you, I'm hate-liking this.

Yeah there is not a lot of 8 footers out there nor the "short bed" that are 6 foot seven inches so I was surprised that one was available, Side question if you don't mind where in WNY are you located? I lived in WNY for years - Canandaigua for one.

Grew up in Buffalo, moved away a bunch of times, ended up back, started marriage #2 and ended up in a little village just outside the city.
Currently working on where I'll go next.
