I just bought a 2015 SR5 with the bench seat and starting to look into the some general convenience mods/upgrades for my truck. I've seen other threads on first mods to do, but wanted to focus this one on SR5 specific, since they didn't have a lot of the creature comforts other trim packages do. I love my SR5 and needed the bench seat, but do have regrets I couldn't get some features. What are some of your favorite upgrades (besides the typical ones (tires, suspension, tint, etc.)?

On my list of to do's:
Auto up/down switches for all windows
    Auto headlights
    Seat Covers (Clazzio/Katskin)
Color matched grill and bumper caps

Auto headlights should be pretty easy. IIRC all you have to do is change the stalk out for the one with the switch on it and put the sensor in the dash.

Rear sway bar if you are more road focused or tow. Huge difference in roll and sway.

Don't I know it. So many things to add!

I haven't had much of that in my area, but not a bad thing to add just in case. Such a pain.

Not an exhaust guy for sound, but maybe performance if I can ever afford a SC.

    Haha that thread is dangerous!

Forgot about the seat jackers, worth it? The seats don't bother me at all, but I remember people saying these help a ton.

Sway bar is going to be added as I tow our travel trailer and won't be off-roading this truck.

Yes, makes a nice difference in support for the legs. I drive the shop tundra some, which is stock and now whenever I do I feel like the seat tilts forward and lacks leg support. It is amazing what an inch will do! She said.

If you tow I’d recommend upgrading to the larger 38 gallon tank or aftermarket transfer flow 46 gallon. Its a game changer for traveling with a camper on vacations. Also, I never cared that much about headlights but I am truly loving having upgraded to the 2018+ LED headlights.

But seriously, if you don't like all the chrome on the grille, a TRD Pro grille and paint-matched hood bulge help a lot.

    E00FCBB6-5F0F-4FA9-8519-64AB12D987CC_zps_6fd0fdee6e6931f4226cb9f01dc0035f260630a2.jpg

    With TRD Pro halogen headlights.

But skip the Pro halogens and go for the OEM 2018+ LED headlights with an @iHacker harness.
Depending on what color your truck is on which OEM LED headlight to get.
Pro looks good with the darker colors.

Hmm hadn’t seen this one. So you get to lower/raise them outside of the vehicle? Still need the auto up/down inside right?

    Bench seat for me…

Would love a 46 gal, but sadly in California. I probably will go OEM 38 gal eventually as I missed it by 1 year. Although I read most people only get a usable 32 gallons out of it.

Been looking at the headlight upgrades. 2018+ looks amazing but $800 is a lot.

Again I got one of the few colors without a Pro model so not so easy of an upgrade (silver). The chrome isn’t a deal breaker with me right now as it blends with the silver pretty well. Not as blatant as darker colors.

I have the 3W and yes it can raise the windows when you lock with the remote.
It can also lower the windows with the remote.
But it takes running a line from the battery for constant power and you only get the auto up/down from the driver's door.

Some guys are getting these that are direct replacements of OEM parts, but there would be no remote features.
You can either buy just the driver's door or get them for all 4 doors.

Any experience with the built in 1 Touch Up & Down for window controls? | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

I know, I was just messing with you.

This is true, although using 32 out of the 38 gallon is still more convenient than using 20 of the 26.5 gallon tank!

While I did spend the extra money to match mine in silver, if you get the hood bulge and Pro grille in black it actually looks pretty nice with the Silver Sky. I’ve seen one out on the road before like that and it still looked good.

Here is the link for it. The video explains what it does.
You would need the "Low" unit. It's plug and play and you run 1 wire to the battery. I love mine.

    https://www.3wliners.com/product/toyota-tundra-window-control-module-low/

As for the 38 gallon, you won't fill much over 32. It has a 6 gallon reserve for the fuel pump. Headlights...$800 isn't bad. My Morimoto XB's were $1500.

    Too many, but not enough....
For the price, I really don't think you can beat the FRAC and the seat jackers. I forget if your year has the driver side grab handle but if not, get that too.

Factory LED lights were pretty much enough to make me trade up from the plain SR5 I was waiting for, to the TRD Off-Road I ended up with. I really really really wanted to stay with a bench seat, and I’ve gotten used to bucket seats and an infinitely deep center console, but these lights are *nice* and are the real kicker. I’d say upgrade your lights first, then go for RAS springs, then maybe look for a good skid plate.
