SR5 power folding mirrors

I wished that the power folding/bsm was available at the time that I got my SR5. I have the stock black mirrors. Been driving it for a year and a half now and I'm wishing I had at least power folding mirrors.
My question: Do SR5s come pre-wired for power mirrors? I would like to upgrade them if possible.
I've searched for the answer but I haven't come across a clear answer. Maybe someone here knows.

I can't say for sure, but I believe that if your trim could be optioned with something, the wiring should be present. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that the opposite is true for things that are not available in your trim. I tried to add seat memory to mine thinking the wiring was there, but it was not. Had to return the switch to the dealer with 20% restocking fee. LOL. So, if I were you, I'd pull a mirror and see what you have back there.

 

Not true anymore, cost savings to not add the extra wires if not optioned and built at the assembly plant. In my SR5, it came stock with footwell lighting and the center console light (where you set your phone on the angle piece) but when I went to add a glovebox light, no wiring was present. I had to run new wires just to have a stupid glovebox light.

 

I'd believe that. In any case be sure to check before you blow any $$ on parts like I did.

 

Yea I can't seem to find a 100% answer. I think you have to take the door panel off, not sure though. I'm too lazy to do all that work and put it back just to check. I guess I'll wait and see if anyone does a youtube video on it.

 

I am grateful that it came pre-wired for a dashcam though. Made installing mine much easier. That's why I'm hoping that maybe it's pre-wired for other upgrades.

 

I have a 2022 SR5 that came with the power folding mirrors. I'm not sure what package it came on but my truck came with the premium audio package, advanced offroad tech package, and the TRD OR premium package. I would assume the truck is pre-wired for the power folding mirrors, but I could be wrong.

 

Door panels take less than 5 minutes to remove.

 

I have similar options in my 2023 SR5. I also have the color matched BSM power folding mirrors.
