    Hello all!

first, I know I’m going to get a bad rap for this so go ahead and get it out of the way :p

I have a 2007 2wd tundra on an 8” ready lift suspension kit. I recently added a 3in body lift and a set of 40s.

I used to take the truck off road, but I’m giving that up for the aesthetics…. So, my question is… how do I add a 3” level kit? I am looking for that last little bit of height until I am content. Then, I’ll finish the rest of the build by retrofitting the headlights/grille and wrapping the whole truck.

any thoughts on how to add some spacers or stack for a few more inches?

thanks in advance for the help!!

Swap it for a Bulletproof 12” lift…? :monocle:

BTW, you are missing a front fender flare ;)

Too much money my man! I had front fender flares but they didn’t fit with the bumper.. extendeded too long. I’m going to buy a set before I wrap it

Really, though, stacking more parts, spacers, hockey pucks, etc isn’t a great idea. It looks like you’re 2wd so cv angles aren’t a big concern, but look at the control arm angles - they appear to already be a fair bit beyond horizontal. Adding something like a spacer is going to push those angles further, which can wreck your handling to the lint that it can be unpredictable (yeah, I understand that 40’s and handling don’t really go in the same sentence) and make it very difficult to align. This can easily and quickly ruin those expensive meats.

It looks to me that the 8” bracket lift doesn’t utilize factory angles on the control arms, but already puts them where they would be with a 2 or 3” lifts on a factory suspension. I’ve seen guys go as much as 4.5” of lift on factory control arms but they had zero downtravel and a horrible ride/handling. Most turned it back down to 3.5” or less.

I’m not trying to tell you what to do with your truck, but longer drop spindles and a new drop bracket in the front are the only ways I know to go from an 8” lift to an 11/12” lift without compromising way too much. Just my opinion.

If you really need more lift, I'd go for the bulletproof 12" kit. Stacking more lift on what you have looks like it's going to get into unsafe territory.

Look at your bumpstop extensions. Now, i imagine if your suspension ever compressed enough to hit them you would likely be crashing already, however if you added more spring spacers to really ruin your ride and steering, then you would need even longer bumpstop extensions.

So I also have a 2013 toyota tundra and running a 8in ready lift I Want to add a 2 and a 1/2 inch coil from swayAaway and all I have To Do is Upgrade my upper control arms to a 2 to 4 inch lift to achieve 10 inches. So in Theory all you have to do is just upgrade your upper control arms?
