    Good Morning,

I'm really hoping someone else has run into this same problem, and/or has a fix.

I've got a 2015 SR5 Crewmax Non-JBL, and this weekend I installed the AVIC-w8400NEX with the iDatalink Maestro RR and all needed adapters. Upon receiving the Maestro, I did the appropriate setup and flash on it.

Total installation was a breeze. Everything works... except for the following 2 things:

    1. The Phone buttons on the right side of the steering wheel are not activating the phone, at all. The whole phone call/mic/speakers functionality works, IF I initiate everything from the deck or my iPhone manually. I was under the impression (especially from the setup flash) that the phone buttons would/should be working...

    2. The directional pad on the left side of the steering wheel... it's seems to be impossible to navigate through music selections (album/artist/track) while playing music from either the iPhone, USB, or SD Card. The Return Button doesn't 'back-up-and-out' the menu tree, the center 'select/enter' button does absolutely nothing. Did I miss something, or am I expecting too much from the Maestro?

Now I will say this... When I did the setup flash, I set the following:
    • left press - Car Gauges
    • left hold - Car Info (Tires/Doors)
    • right press - Navigation
    • right hold - Climate
I thought the "Climate" was actually like "outside weather conditions"... but I realize that it's for the Limited+ interior A/C climate, etc.

I wonder, if I clear all those settings from the d-pad, if I will gain the functionally I'm expecting in #2 above. I just figured I'd ask here before I tear into the dash again just to get the Maestro out to re-flash.

Sad as this sounds, I'm already beginning to miss the factory radio, for the simplicity of NOT having to reach over to the deck to change my music.

Any constructive feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Maybe idatalink hadn't gotten their firmware right with the x400NEX units yet? I have a 4200 and that stuff works fine
