Have many of you left your beds stock instead of spray in liner? Seems like it is well protected and won't rust. Is there really a need for the spray in other than it's less slippery? I don't hall rock or anything harsh typically in my bed.

Grip is really the only selling point for the spray in. My truck came specced with the spray in bedliner but if I could have chosen it would have been standard composite bed alone. It is quite grippy with the spray in and can kind of be too much at times.

The bed is all plastic so no rust worries. I just came from a 20 Tacoma plastic bed with the oem mat and my 23 tundra came with spray in liner. I much prefer the spray in liner I have now over the exposed plastic in the taco.

My Taco bed had scratches and gouges in the plastic that you can't fix and over time the black dye in the rubber mat started to rub off on your hands or items. Mine was even covered with a softopper 90% of the time. I also had to occasionally remove the mat to spray out underneath it and it's not terrible but kinda a pain and left my hands black. The rubber mat gets hot af even just the little bit of sun coming thru rear topper window made it too hot for the dogs. I also noticed some slight discoloration and fading in the plastic so I was glad to have it lined now. I'm looking into a carpet mat for the Tundra to use when the dogs are in there under the topper.

I can get a 3'x4-1/2' rubber horse stall mat for $40 at FF. I may get 1 or 2 of those call it a day. They are like 3/4" thick and tough as nails.

I think youd be fine with a bedmat and a no spray in bedliner. The bedliner is One of the few options i got on my base SR, and i love it for the grip and keeping the bed looking nice. I dont think you can go wrong either way though.

Get a bed matt or cut a piece of indoor outdoor carpet and throw it in there. All you are trying to accomplish is stopping stuff from sliding all over the place

Purchased a 24 Platinum without the spray in bedliner, and had an appointment with Rhino Linings for the bedliner, but decided to try the bed mat first ($100 vs $600). The bed mat works like a champ and I'm glad I didn't get the spray in bed liner. Outdoor carpet works like a champ line @Hella Krusty said. Double stick tape or velcro work great. They also make adhesion promoter (Amazon) that helps the velcro stick to the bed.

I have the spray on bed liner too. Meh.... 600 option I didnt really want but the desire to purchase truck took care of that.

Also have a bed mat in there too. The bed mat takes the abuse of tossing stuff into the bed without any damage.

I have '24 with the spray in liner. Grippy for sure and kneeling down on it is a no go unless you already have no feeling in your knees. Will be adding something else just for that.

my 2024 Limited came with the spray in liner. Just installed the Bed Rug mat which I’ve used in 4 different trucks over the years. They can be used whether spray in lined or not and provide anti-slide, cushioning, and saves the knees. They are made of recycled plastic mesh and is very porous, so that it dries quickly if it gets wet. Sorry for the “marketing” blurb…another alternative for consideration.

I'm going to pick up the 4x6 stall mat from Tractor Supply and be done with it. I like the bed rug but having to velcro it down is why I will get the rubber mat. I think it would blow right out if it came loose. I need to take off my roll up cover as soon as we get out of this deep freeze as the freaking weather seal on the front rail is sliding out the front. Didn't adhere. I'm going to stick some to the bottom of the metal cover rail instead and skip the adhesion promoter.

With the long strip of Velcro attached I’ve never had one blow out, but it certainly is light enough to if is not adhered well. I run a BAK tonneau cover now, so not much chance of coming loose now.

Excuse my ignorance. I have a new 2024 Tundra Limited 6.5’ bed and it has the factory plastic liner with the tundra branding. But realtruck.com says their Bedrug will only work with no drop in liner. Im not sure if this composite liner is considered drop in? I have a shell and want a Bedrug for my dog and surfboards but am unsure in their verbiage on realtruck.com. I emailed them and they just reiterated what’s on the product page. Should I buy it and find out? Anyone try this? Every Tundra I looked at had the same bed material as mine.

The actual bed of the Tundra is a composite plastic, not a liner. If you follow the website quote you provided there is an installation video of installing the Bedrug in a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, this should be your guide to how to install on your Tundra.
