Stock front struts - are they left/right specific?

    I have a set of stock front Hitachi struts. Are the springs left/right specific? Reason I ask is because they have paint marks on them in different colors.

    Springs yes. shocks no, should be the same. Forgot what years have the lean, but putting the stiff one on the driver side would help.

    Yep, note the marks on the the OEMs before removing. I did not and went to dealership and looked at a truck on the lot.

    Orange/blue is driver, yellow/gray is passenger. Take note of the arrow on the top hat that tells you which way to orient the body when you install it.
