I recently purchased a Tundra that came with the X-Series package. The tire and wheel package with the X-Series are 275/55/20. The door sticker calls says factory size is 255/70/18.

I have been on the fence about going back to a 18” OEM tire/wheel. I do like the TRD Pro style. I found a set on Facebook and they have 275/65/18 tires.

In terms of overall handling and ride is there much difference with the stock 18” wheel/tire vs the 275/55/20 I have now? Overall it’s firm now but rides well. I rotated the tires today and the 20” wheels are much heavier the the 17” wheels on my Sierra that I got rid of for the Tundra.

    Here are the current wheels.

More sidewall and less air pressure is going to lend itself to a bit softer ride. I’d swap for sure.

Can anyone confirm that both of these 18” OEM are both 8” wide?

It looks like the black TRD Pro rims come with 275/65/18 tires and the other rims come with 255/70/18 tires from the factory. I’m guessing the larger tires are part of the TRD Pro package?
