I'm a brand new Tundra owner. I hate to even admit to it but I had a Honda Ridgeline before. So not really a real truck. Anyhow, this thing is great! I bought a limited with the stock suspension a few weeks ago. Someone in my area is selling the TRD OR suspension that they just took off of their 1794 after 3K miles to upgrade to a lift. Maybe he's even in this forum. I don't know. Is $400 worth it? How much do you think it would cost me to pay a shop to swap out all of my stock parts with all of the TRD ones? Will the suspension be smoother or stiffer? I do plan to take the truck down some heavily rutted dirt trails for fishing trips and I worry a little that the stock suspension isn't beefy enough. Oh an I would probably try and ask that shop to add a leveling spacer for an extra inch and a half/two to the front while doing so. But again I'm coming from a Ridgeline so I don't know much about real trucks in general. By the way - If you're reading this, you probably would never be in the market for a ridgeline but don't let your friends buy them either. I thought it would be reliable coming from Honda but after 5 years and only 63k miles I had so many problems it was unreal. Thanks for any help in advance.

WELCOME! Unfortunately I can’t comment on the TRD suspension, I’m sure many on this forum can and will! As for a level, I recommend going with Cornfed 1.5” over the Rough Country 1.75”. The RC will leave the noice a bit higher than rear. Good luck!

I installed take-off TRD Off-Road suspension (complete front strut assemblies and rear shocks) that came off a new Limited to my non-0ff road SR5 and there is a noticeable difference, I didn’t swap the the rear springs and not sure if there is even a difference in the rear springs. The non TRD is a little softer on the bumps IMO, the Off-Road firmer. I definitely like the TRD Off-Road better.
I also paid $400 but it only had 20 miles at removal. I did the swap myself in about 4 hours, seems like someone with experience meet that time pretty easy.

Same for me. I have the stock 2024 Limited and changed to a take-off TRD OR suspension. Paid $400 for the parts and $400 to dealer to do all of the changes, including alignment. Probably could get a local shop to do better, but my truck was in the shop getting other stuff done, so it was easier for me to have them do it. I too definitely like the ride better.

Thanks man I appreciate the information! I came across someone selling for $400 as well and was curious if it was worth the switch.
