What's up everyone. This past week, I noticed my truck making this weird noise. My best description is it sounds like a "goose honk." It does not happen everyday, but it sounded off earlier today while I was driving. I can hear it clearly within the cabin. Not sure if my description of the noise is accurate, but I can't find any videos online that sounds similar to it. It is fairly loud and distinct. Thanks.

It comes in increments. It lasts about 2 to 3 seconds then stops. After a few seconds it comes again. It is similar to brakes squeezing, but I don't understand why it is loud inside the cabin. It just comes on randomly while the truck is running.

Think it’s AC related? A blend door actuating partially or something?

Not really sure, but it came on again earlier while driving in the freeway. The noise is clearly heard inside the cabin. My best description of the sound now is like a high pitch "Toot." For the lack of better words, it sounds like a fart that is being squeezed out. Kind of low key embarrassed to ask the Toyota Tech lol.

Possible emissions are malfunctioning? I've heard goose honks around gas tank and/or fuel cap area.

On a serious note, my gf’s minivan is doing the exact same thing. The shop cannot figure out the source yet. Happens most often when she first starts engine.

I'd say it's the fan that circulates air into the cabin. AC or fresh, same fan. Start there.

For me it only happens intermittently at freeway speed and if my front suspension compresses the noise pauses until it unloads.
