Any of you guys have seen the window stutter when being opened? Sometimes just stops completely. Started this morning. It also got cold here this am. Wish I could upload the video. Having difficulty with that. Thanks

Yup. Happened to me yesterday when it was cold. Seems like it’s loose in the track and therefore stuttering when being lowered. ‍♂️

I am having this happen on the driver side window. Will stop about 1/8th of the way down and then go down the rest of the way when the button is pushed again. Super annoying. Went away for a while, but now back. Not sure if outside temp is the reason.

Mine does the same thing in the rain. I still think it is something to do with the window fuzzies/weatherstrip. it does not ack like a mechanical issue. it just finally stops like the motor is drawing too much current.

Happened to me as well - just started the morning I was already going in for an oil change, so had the dealership address it - took quite a bit of time (5 hours) - but they found some loose screws in the bracket that attaches to the glass - they tightened, and problem solved.

SupaCoopa how easy was it to recreate the issue? That's my problem with everything, recreating the problems. The dealer wont acknowledge a problem unless they witness the issue. So between this, the throttle lag and wind noise I'm in and out trying to recreate and just cant do it.

For me it was easy as the issue only presented on the morning of my previously scheduled oil change appt. Once it presented, it happened every time I moved the window.

    Just jumping in here...

I had a "stuttering" driver's side window on my 5th Gen 4Runner. It ended up being a short in the actual switch on my door. Because it was a short, the problem would manifest itself intermittently. It wouldn't do it for a week and then it would happen multiple days in a row.

They swapped out the switch and it was fine after that. This was back in 2016/17(ish). I recall my old service advisor saying that swapping out window switches was one of the most common parts replacements they performed under warranty.

That made it easy. I have a follow up appointment for a bunch of recalls/svc bulletins, 10k service, the 4 door/window seals, second key and a transmission ECU flash. Crossing my fingers they're able to do it all so I don't have to go back a 6th time.

This is exactly what mine does. Usually when cold and about 30% of the time.

Has anyone else had this issued fixed by the dealer? My 2022 only does it occasionally, first time was this winter, was fine for the prior ~18 months. Usually seems to happen when raining/wet not just cold. Curious if anyone else had it fixed and if it was the same fix as SupaCoopa? I have to bring it in soon for 30k service so I'm hoping to have them address it but not looking forward to 5hr+ service visit or having to bring it back for a 2nd appt so I'd like to give them some clues on what the fix is.

Update on this...had my truck at the dealer for 30k service and some open recalls, I told them what I was experiencing with the window stuttering but I couldn't duplicate it for them and never got a video but asked them to check it under warranty. I wasn't expecting much response but they called and said found excessive movement between the window regulator and window run. They replaced both front regulators and window runs, so far (< 1 day) the power window operation seems to be smoother going down.

I experienced this issue with my 22 SR5 29k miles. Happens whenever truck gets wet especially if its cold. was raining when I took it in and it did it for the SA. Dealership tech cleaned out the channel and put some kind of silicon lubricant they said they had specifically for the window channels. Which actually seems to have fixed it for me. Could be complete BS and just be some generic silicon lube or WD-40.

I had/have this in my front driver and passenger windows, driver was worse then the passenger and they were both worse in the cold. When I had the truck in for one of the TSB's they looked at it and said the window just needed to be lubricated. Seems a little suspect but they added a little lubricant to somewhere in the window which works great now. There was a bit of excess lube that'd leave a smear on the window after they did whatever they did but I wiped it up and after a few days it doesn't happen anymore and the window still works much smoother then before.

The passenger window isn't as bad and I'll have them do that one next time I'm in. Rear windows and the big rear cab window all run smoothly from the day of purchase.

Mine would stutter on the way down and in the cold it'd stop completely like yours requiring multiple window down button presses.
