Hey everyone I am new to the forum and new Tundra owner. I bought my 2019 Tundra TRD Sport with a 3" Ready Lift. I have been reading articles stating that the spacers will ultimately ruin my original suspension. I am looking to upgrade to the Bilstein 5100 adjustable ride height shocks. Any suggestions and whats the best option.

Sorry I meant best shocks and "coil overs" for a 3" ready lift. I just read Tundras dont have struts post and I dont want anyone bashing their head into the keyboard.

Well you are not going to run the spacer lift and a lifted coil over....the lifted/adjustable coil over will lift the truck and you remove the spacer lift.

5100 as you know are available and not too much $

6112s are a bit better than 5100s but cost a little more. Both of those are adjustable from about an inch lift, to 2 inches, to 2.5 inches lift. Depending on the height you want you could add a block or shackle to lift the rear and if lifting the rear, would need appropriate shocks.

OME makes a suspension for 2.5-3 inches of lift- good bang for the buck and they make good products.

Next options would be Fox, Kings, BDS suspensions, but any of those is going to be quite a bit more $ than the other, but would ride better.

It all depends on your budget and how you might use your truck.

I’m happy with my Dobinsons lift. I pieced together the full kit front and rear with new leaf springs for my camper. Exit Off-road is on here @crikeymike. He can set you up just right for the height and ride you are looking for. Imo superior to OME in some ways. About same price as OME or Bilstein. Went with the 2.25” coils took of the front sway bar and have been really happy with the performance.

You should realize your truck is going to ride a bit firmer up front with all of these and if you go to e-rated tires that will add some harshness as well. I’m happy my ride is firm. I like to smash stuff and take corners like a car :)

Thanks guys for the replies. If I kept the ready lift which has 3” up front and 2” in back what would be a good shock option? I am fine with a complete overhaul like you guys suggested it’ll just take some time to get funds together. Thanks again for the options I’ll check into them all.

Not sure what your question is. It’d be a great idea for you to read over a few of the suspension threads on here, like the one someone posted just above your last post. Basically, it could be a waste of money for you to upgrade your shocks if you are running a spacer lift. There’s no point because the spacer lift suspension won’t be made more comfortable by adding new shows... AND... you risk your shocks collapsing if installed in combination with spacers. Once you read over a few suspension threads, you’ll probably better understand the problem.

That’s what I was worried about. From what I’ve read the OEM shocks are stretched from the spacer and can cause issues over time. I was looking for a way to keep the lift and run better shocks. Since it doesn’t seem to be a way looks like I’ll be keeping what I have for the moment and upgrading ASAP.

This is what I have had for about 1 month. After the install, I had the notorious drivers side lean. I cranked up one of the coilovers and the truck is all level. I would like a bit more of a stiff ride though.
