My driver side sun visor won't stay in the "up" position. Flops down.
Have done google search but not finding replacement options-except dealer.
    Any suggestions appreciated!
    TIA....Dan

Welcome to the forum. I haven't had to fix this yet in our trucks, but almost every car I've owned from the '90s forward, there are two mechanisms:

For visors that won't stop rotating out, i.e. rotation between the windshield and side window, there's typically a clasp that holds tight to the mirror post on the back side of the mount; you need to pop out the two mounting bolts to check if the mechanism locking onto the post is cracked or missing.

For visors that won't stop rotating down, i.e. rotating between the headliner and floor, there's normally a clasping mechanism to hold tight to the shaft running down the spine of the visor. This tends to be more variable between manufacurers, sometimes you can gain access via the mirror, some allow you to pop the mirror assembly in half.

Replacements ... best bet for used is hitting a local junkyard, or using www.car-part.com to find a junkyard with the part near you.
Alternately, fleaBay is a good option for used, just make sure you know what color interior you have first, there are at least two greys, and one or two beige/tan/oak/taupe sort of colors.
