I am searching for info regarding 3rd gen suspensions.

From what I can see, King or Icon 2.5" shocks require upper control arms. Is this so that the larger diameter shocks won't clear factory control arms?

I am not interested in lifting my truck any. Maybe a 1 to 1.5 inch leveling up front at most. I am guessing that I need a 0-3 shock kit both front and rear? And control arms? Any input is appreciated.

Aftermarket UCA’s are required for proper caster when attempting to align a vehicle that has been leveled. They also typically allow better/more droop when cycling the suspension, and more clearance for for reservoir and big body shocks.

I’m not totally up to speed on 3rd Gen limits, so hopefully someone else can chime in on what leveling height requires the UCA.

Its for proper angles of suspension, the factory black control arms would be able to go on the steering knuckle but will pull it too far inward. It will cause catastrophic strain

If you already have the TRD suspension no need for new UCA's

No need for UCAs if only lifting and inch or so. Caster will be fine. Can't speak to RR hose clearing the UCA but I'd call around and see if any shops know.
