Vehicle is a 2011 Tundra SR5 Crew Cab 5.7 Flex Fuel. I am in the process of replacing the fuel pump control module due to vehicle refusing to start and giving the P0230 “Fuel Pump Primary Circuit”. I have seen a few other people had this problem and replaced their control modules as well. The current part is 89570-34060. However I couldn’t find this part aftermarket or for less than a few hundred used and even more from Toyota certified parts suppliers. I elected to replace it with a 98571-34070 because of cost and availability. The problem came with the wiring connectors. The original part has 2 separate with one of them having 3 wires and the other having 2. I have had a lot of trouble trying to track down a wiring connector to replace it with, but finally broke down and ordered the connector for less than $20 from Toyota. It didn’t come with any pins which they want $20 a pin and I need 5. Also it didn’t come with the rubber insert to hold the pins in place. Has anyone else tried to or successfully done what I am doing? If so any pointers would be welcome! Thank you in advance!
