Hi, I posted this on Mud, but no movement yet. Maybe I'll have better luck here?

Family member wants to mount TRD Tacoma wheels on his 2022 Tundra for winter wheels. The trouble is, the Tacoma uses M12 x 1.5 flanged lugs, while the Tundra uses M14 x 1.5 flanged lugs. The 17s will just clear the calipers, so that is not an issue, and the bolt pattern is he same.

Any ideas on how to mount these up? M14 x 1.5 lug with a narrower bore? Is there such a thing? Drill out the wheel to take the larger bore lug?

    Any thoughts are welcome.

I didn’t think the bolt pattern was the same?

I could be wrong but it was discussed here already

    What I found

No, the center bore is smaller @ 95mm on the new 6 lug. Offset is wrong. Lugs are larger. They can work with a spacer/adapter, which someone is bound to produce, but will add to the price of swapping.

Did you ever find a lug nut to use for these?

Hi Ed. No. Taco-Spike called it correctly, and I could not find a spacer and lugs that would work.

In the end, I called the dealer where I bought the truck - Roussel Toyota in Miramichi, New Bruniswick (decent guys, a real family business) - and they set me up with some nice 17" Tundra steel rims.

Thanks for responding. I am in the process of putting the older TRD Pro wheels on my Tundra.

I have the centric rings to center the rims I’m just trying to find a black lug nut and have only found silver ones so far so that’s my hold up.

If I can’t find the right black nuts I will either have to get a set of the m12 nuts for a Tacoma and drill them out and tap them m14 or I’ll have to get a set of black m14 nuts and put them on the lathe and turn down the shoulder to fit the wheels. Or drill out the wheels for the m14 lugs.

At least I’ve found the chrome ones so I can get the job done and deal with getting black ones later. Thanks again for your response!!

I'd be interested in hearing how you resolve the fastener issue. At the time I was looking (Oct./Nov. 2022) I could not find the needed spacers, so I did not consider how to bolt them up, but figured drilling would be involved.
