I just noticed that the clear plastic on my taillight is broken . Is there a replacement for just the clear part or will I have to replace the whole housing? Right now all I can afford is clear tape to prevent water from getting in.

You'd need to replace the entire unit..

Those are a pricey item. Maybe your insurance could help out.

It just the clear plastic that broke. The taillight still work perfectly fine. So I got some heavy duty clear tapes and covered the hole and cracks

Being so new, I'd ask the dealer what they could do for me at 1st 5k service ?! Doesn't hurt to ask. That is an unfortunate rock bounce!

I backed into a tree I didn't see at night in a parking lot in my 2014.
It only broke the tail light lens.
It took it as a blessing that it didn't damage the paint or body.

Although I'd bet my 2014 tail light was cheaper than your newer one is going to be..
I was pissed for about 5 minutes, then moved on.

With that, I've got several door dents from others in parking lots, even though I always park away from everyone else.

SH!t happens, just roll with it..
    Good luck...

    Lots of stuff!
    $89k MSRP in CDN for:
2024 Tundra Limited Crewmax Hybrid (No advanced pack or any options other than the 3" TRD Lift). This one isn't even a TRD OR version so no 360 cameras etc...
The TRD lift is ~$9k if added off the Toyota.ca website.

Those 265 slicks look pretty strange and I am sure that this truck is stuck in the snow!

This just doesn't make any sense...

Tonneau cover, added layer of ice, mud or dust
That’s the remains of the tail light assembly after it exploded in a meeting with a snowbank, without the shards.

Seems poly carbonate becomes very brittle in cold conditions. 815600C130 MRSP Canadian$981.15 + shipping CAD$60. Got a discount. OEM parts are golden, duct tape is silver, isn’t it?

Once received, it took 15 minutes to replace it, with some help available on youtube.

Only problem with the insurance company helping is they will then just claw all that money back by increasing your rates.
