I don't see anything out of the ordinary on my 1794 Limited Edition on the tailgate. Where is your gap at?

Yep, most all have a gap. Mine was so close on the right side it was rubbing the paint off the bottom right corner of the tailgate. I ended up swapping the brackets that mount to the bottom of the tailgate and it made it better, but I still have just enough room to clear opening/closing without rubbing. Aside from that, there's not really anything you can adjust to narrow the gap. As much as I like this truck, the tailgate in general is just a POS. I mean, they couldn't just make the top front part metal without putting on a shitty plastic spoiler that just rubs the paint off in areas?

Again, I wonder and ask WHERE is this "gap"? Right side? Bottom?

If you look at the tailgate, you will see a larger gap on one side between the side of the tailgate and the tail light. (Usually the driver's side has a larger gap.)

LOL... Yes, everyone is apparently too ashamed to show their gap! What do you mean yours "had" the gap? Where did that sneaky gap go? ;-)

I just checked mine and it is even and straight on both sides. I guess I just got lucky?

LOL. My bad, it has the gap. I’ll snap a pic of it. Some have used truck bed stiffeners to alleviate the issue it seems.
