Good afternoon I just recently got my tundra and I’m so happy with it I wanted to add some lights on the side near the running boards if someone can help and let me know what fuse can I tap into so when I unlock the truck the white lights will turn on , The fuse box on the driver side for whatever reason it’s not labeled So I’m wondering do I tap in to the fuse box that’s in the motor
This is my first try at this with questions I need a little bit of time to get used to if I’m doing this correctly

I tapped the larger of the two pink wires under the rear drivers side door sill. You can put a pin in the wire, add a test light. Activate the door switch and watch the dome light and your test light will off/on cycle alike when you have the correct wire.

@Newyorker1794, I installed some lights right next to the running boards on each side. I ran the wires into the cab if the truck and tapped them into the courtesy light (or whatever you call the little tiny light under the steering wheel on the left side). Check out the video below. When I unlock the truck the lights go on. The will eventually go off by themselves, or if I lock the truck. Hopes this helps.

You only need to run one wire into the cab under the driver side back door sill. Then tap that pink cargo light wire I described. There is a hole already under the sill just drill it through the last layer and put a small plastic tube in with some silicone. Then run the wire through the tube to give it good protection from rubbing, connect to hot side of your lights. You can run a self tapping screw to the bottom of the cab for a ground wire connection.

The same circuit I tapped my custom mirror puddle lights into on my 2014 SR5.

They dim on when you unlock the truck, and dim off or time out.
Or since the OP has a 1794, he can tap into the existing puddle lights.

    Welcome to the forum @Newyorker1794

    Edit:
It might just be easier to replace the stock 1794 puddle light bulbs with VLEDs.
I used the universal VLED puddle lights for my SR5, drilled holes, ran wire, etc.

But they make stock replacements for the Tundra with puddle lights..
Says Mazda but fits Tundra in the description.

    TOYOTA MAZDA PUDDLE LIGHT (vleds.com)

    They are very bright..
