Dual Magnaflow exhaust, Bakflip MX4, Taylor's Audio amp, speakers and subwoofer for Tundra JBL.
I just finished installing the Tundra JBL upgrade. I ordered the amp with his harness for interfacing with the factory amp and bought the 10” sub with a ported box. You will want the sub because the factory sub sounds super weak even hooked up to the new amp. Also, while you’re at it buy the Hertz speaker upgrade as well. It includes four door speakers and four tweeters. James also gives you adapters for all four door speakers and all the hardware needed for installation. The front speakers will be 6.5 like the rear, so the front adapters convert the 6x9 factory speakers to 6.5. The new amp is powerful enough that James has to dial back the output so you don’t blow the factory speakers. I didn’t like the result. It was loud and clear but almost no mid base and James had to help me retune the amp for the Hertz speakers. The end result is the premium sound system Toyota and JBL should have provided in the first place. It will set you back a little more than a grand, but the main benefit is you keep the factory head unit and sound pretty incredible.

I have been contemplating the same upgrade for well over 2 years. You may have just made my mind up for me !

I don’t think you will be disappointed. I promised my wife no major upgrades until the truck was paid off and I figured the audio was a priority. And I really didn’t want to mess with a head unit replacement so this is just what I was looking for. ********* sells a similar solution but it costs a lot more. One thing, do not change any of the amp settings without talking to James first.

I got all the above, and I’ve played with settings. What’s the reason for not playing with settings?

I should have been more specific. Don’t mess with input mixer unless you know what you’re doing same for high and low crossover setting.
