Does anyone know if the 2011 tundra /sequoia have a TCM if so ..where is it located? Is it a separate unit from the ECM?

Under the Right hand forward kick panel on the side. Remove the bottom door threshold, lower glove compt cover, kick panel and it's mounted on the RH upper side. 2 connectors & one 10mm bolt.

    I don't think that's TCM.

The OP has a 2WD in his signature line. That looks like a 4WD module? Or am I missing something?

4 wheel Module is different from the Transmission Control Module aka Shift lock sub assy computer which is placed under center console. It's right under the shift column.
Whereas the 4 wheel computer is under the dash on the passenger side. I just replaced both on my 2010 toyota sequoia.

What would cause you to require replacement of both modules? Is your Sequoia AWD or proper Hi/Lo case? Just curious. Learn as we go.

It's 4 Wheel. I had shifting issues with my transmission and also 4 wheel won't stay engaged.

Sorry but that isn’t the tcm either. It is just simple logic for shift interlocking and gear select data output onto canbus. Toyota doesn’t use dedicated tcms. That function is built into the ecm. The tcm uses a lot of engine data, so mosy makers just handle the trans stuff in the ecm/pcm. Gm or ford is one of the exceptions.

Oh ok I was wondering why tundra or sequoia does not have a dedicated TCM.
