Tesla Style Head Unit ZF-1816G bricked.

Hello,
I'm new here and I hope this post would help get me some answers as well as help others with my misfortune. I purchased a tesla style head unit model: ZF-1816G from AliExpress last month, the seller is AOTSR aka ZWNAV and some other names but the maker of the unit is ZhiFang Company{http://www.szzhifanggps.com}. The day I received the unit, I contacted AOTSR for items missing from the package {camera, harness and extra ad-on}.They said that items will be shipped the next day BUT if I give them the 5 star rating they will include a DAB+ and DVR as gifts. Man... I was so excited that I took the next day off and installed the unit {I will include pics below}. That unit with a 13.3 in. screen look so good in that big roomy tundra. Third day upon receiving the unit, the minute I got home from work and started the truck all I saw was black screen with colorful vertical lines on the unit. Arrrgh..contacted the seller that night for some help on how to recover the unit back to life. But prior to sending the help messages to the seller, I have already tried all the tricks that I know to revived the system with no success. I had noticed that the seller had sent me a tracking number for the missing parts and accessories.
Three days had passed without any response so I followed up with another email. Still no response, with that ignorance I was frustrated and angry so I decided to send them an email every other day for a month or so. 18 days after, I decided to contact AliExpress and was told that they will file for a refund. At the same time I informed them that I was not looking forward for a refund but instead I just wanted some help on how to fix the issue because I really liked the system and just wanted the screen fixed everything else is working fine. AliExpress insisted on a refund and finally I said OK. 2 days later which now makes 20 days into my frustration, I got an email back from AliExpress saying:
Regarding order 8160540009694582, we regret to inform you that we are unable to issue a refund at this stage since the request raised has beyond the buyer protection period.


Please let us know if you have any other concerns or questions. Furthermore, please kindly note to issue the request within the times stipulated by AliExpress's guarantee in case the situation happens again in your next purchase.

I said those M******* , ever since then I have been searching and researching information's on how to get it running again but with no luck so far. Surprisingly I found the website for the maker of the unit {ZHIFANG}and all the information's posted on their website look so promising because it all expressed on how they care about the customer's along with their products are free of defects. F......Bull..., so I emailed them about my situations and have not heard back from them since. 2 messages for 2 weeks and no response.
2 days ago I sent them an email informing them that I filed for a complaint with FTC {Federal Trade Commission}, International Trade Commission, International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network and finally with Business Consumer Alliance. Also I happened to have access to a free Consumer Protection Attorney at work as part of my benefits.
So there you have it, just waiting for response from all those F........ involved in it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks

bummer. i think there is a fairly active facebook group for these headunits...better off posting up over there.
