I just moved up from a Tacoma to a Tundra PRO which came without running boards or drop steps. There are a lot out there to choose from with varying reviews and price points.

I used Tacoma world to bounce things off other Tacoma owners, and hopefully I can do the same with this site.

Any recommendations to help cut down the research time? I’m leaning towards a N-Fab podium or Havoc HS2 Black Hoop Steps.

    Thanks
    Ray

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
Go Rhino rb 20. They sit nice and tight to the body, look great and are a nice wide step.

I second the RB-20's. They do tuck up nice against the body, provide a nice wide step, and don't look like something you put on for grandma. Now I don't know about 'best' as that is subjective, but I like these a lot.

I love my running boards from RCI. I think I saw they were even running a sale recently. Maybe it is still going. AEE60FB8-8A00-4CD3-9532-C0FA11E3FCDC.jpg

If I remember correctly they were around $600. I just checked their website and they aren’t selling them anymore. Too bad cuz I think they are great. They are making sliders now and I know a lot of members here love their skid plates and other protective gear. Their bed racks seem to be pretty popular too. They do have a 15% going on right now.

I've been contemplating their sliders too over the plain running boards but am not sure if I want the truck to lug around all that exttra weight if I'm never gonna take it off road...

My wife and kids would kill me if all they had to step up on was a tube so for me sliders are a no go :D

I think unless you are going off road sliders would be a waste of $ unless you like the look of them.

I emailed them inquiring if they still sold them and they told me no and that I should look at their sliders instead.

Probably. I love their skid plate and would have definitely ponied up for the running boards. Oh well. There are plenty of good options out there.

I have RB 20's and like them, just be careful when it's icy out. They stick far enough out that the only way I'll get a door ding is if a higher/lifted truck parks next to me.

Are the RB20's sold as a pair or per side? I was looking at a vendor website and got a little confused, sorry

I actually like the OEM brushed aluminum steps. They are low profile , have beefy steep insets, and are built solid. I think they look really nice too.

Skip replacing steps and get weld-on sliders if you think you may want to off-road. Welcome!

Love my RB20 .....BUT....the brackets have totally and completely rusted!!!!. Only installed in September. Ordered the bed liner finish, but the brackets still come just powder coated. I have thought about returning them, however it's such a pain. Taking them off this weekend, priming and shooting them with Raptor Liner.

    Such a disappointment.

I just installed RB20’s this morning. The packages arrived in good condition, everything was wrapped pretty decent. One of them had some bedliner on the underside the other didn’t. I planned ahead for some cosmetic issues and had 2 cans of black raptor bedliner spray ready to go. Drilled out the rivets holding on the shiny go rhino badges and de-badged them. Sprayed the underside, the brackets and and a little touch up where the badges were.

Best looking or best usable? I’m in the market for some as well, thinking the retractable AMP ones.
