So recently one of my cab lights was going out do i decided to swap them both out.

Ordered these from headlight revolution, with good assurance it would not fuck with key fob, it very much does, i have to be 2 feet and pointing directly at the cargo bed light, and its still in consistent, and much much dimmer, any tips for the fob issue?

also anyone have any idea what lights these are? They were on the truck when i bought it a few months ago and were fantastic and i should have just tried to track these down

i've used sylvania Zevo 921s in the cargo lights before and been happy with them (before i put the cap on my truck) pretty sure the 2nd gens use the same 921 bulb size

^ This is where you made your mistake..
I've bought a couple of things from them and the quality is crapola..
The contacts are so thin they break from the vibration of the road.

Anyway, the lights you had look like cheap generic LED 921s.
Perhaps buy a few on Amazon and return the ones that don't work.
I used Siruis bulbs in mine and they look a lot like what you had.
Although they are no longer available, they offer this now..

Amazon.com: SIR IUS LED - FT- 921 922 579 LED Canbus Reverse Backup Trunk Light Bulb for Car Truck Super Bright High Power 3030+4014 SMD White 6500K Pack of 2 : Automotive

This looks like your old one and it got great ratings.
As I stated, if they don't work send them back.

    Amazon.com: Alla Lighting 912 921 LED Bulbs for Back-up Reverse Lights, 6000K Xenon White CAN-BUS 4014 30-SMD T10 T15 906 W16W 921K 922, 360° Light Backup, Cargo Lights Replacement, Extremely Super Bright : Automotive

    Good luck..

I believe the little 168/194 wedge bulbs have the same base size as 921 and the led should be plenty bright as compared to incandescent… worth a try if you have extras from your interior led upgrade. You did upgrade your interior bulbs right? . Worth a try.

    Unfortunately, they aren't available.
I'm sure there have been many upgrades and improvements since 2017.

I like Sirius LEDs and sometimes ALLAH LEDs on Amazon.
You can't go wrong buying anything from VLEDs, those guys are awesome.

    Good luck...

I changed my cargo lights on my 2015 Tundra. They were included in an interior/exterior LED kit from Fyreflys.com. I contacted them before I purchased the kit about this key fob issue and they told me they added shielding to the resistors on the cargo lights. They arrived and the cargo lights had what appears to be EMI shielding over the resistors. I have no problems with my key fob, works as it should. The lights at all locations are much brighter than stock and they look great!

The 2018+ has led interference issues due to the fob receiver being up near the shark fin/cargo light area. Vleds came up with a set of non-RF bulbs for those.

As far as I know the interference was only on 2018 and up due to the receiver being near the cargo lights and shark fin.

That may be the case, I wasn't aware it was year dependent. Never the less when I emailed the company they said their design solution was to add RF shielding over some resistors in the driver circuitry. So as I understood it, that was their solution for all model years. Part of the resistor bank had a grey covering, which I recognized as RF absorber. The LEDs are passive devices or diodes. It is the surrounding circuitry which emits those frequencies, which it turn becomes interference to the key fob.
Never the less their solution was to eliminate the RFI emitted from the surrounding circuitry on the LED, so it should work for all years. Just contact and ask them. Less expensive also.

Ending up asking for a return on Headlight revolution lights, they are taking their sweet time

ordered some VLEDS, showed up in two days, installed em, instant success, much brighter 0 interference with fob, I’m a VLED man now and highly recommend them

Yes HR is slow at the moment. I am waiting on a warranty myself. Vleds is awesome. I have been using them since 2012.
