I don’t have a 3rd gen, and I don’t have the stealth bar for my 2nd gen, but I have all DD lights. I cannot recommend them enough. No the lights will not be weak. I had them on my Tacoma and now on my tundra and I couldn’t be happier with them.

Mounts are different on this kit. As they bolt into the crash bar.

my bar has been good. I have a combo down there and a driving in my grille. They light up quite a bit.

I have all @Diode Dynamics lighting on my current Tundra and also on my previous TRD Pro Tacoma. I love their lighting and would recommend them hands down. As far as the stealth light bar though, I think the positioning is off to prevent a clear projection from the location it is mounted. I may be wrong, but it seems to be about a quarter inch to high, cutting off some lighting potential. Other then that, I like it a lot.

Do you have to remove the whole grill to install this one or can you install from underneath?

You'll have to remove your front end bumper portion to install the stealth lightbar.

Totally agree w/ the the bracket being slightly higher and not centered in the bumper whole. I had to modify it so I can adjust its positioning. Basically made the whole bigger so I can adjust it. I originally bought the amber but thought the output was not as bright as I wanted it. I spoke to DD and they said to replace it w/ their clear lens. Problem solved! Much brighter

I see. So just the lower section, much easier than taking the whole thing apart.

You'll have to remove the entire bumper portion to access the front crash bar. Once that's done, you'll see the oem black brackets connected to the crash bar with purple bolts. You'll only need to remove one purple bolt on the top section of the oem bracket, and one underneath the crash on the oem bracket. Install the @Diode Dynamics brackets (keeping the purple bolts slightly loose, attach the light bar, adjust light bar for beam projection, then tighten down the purple bolts and bolts into the light bar). Test connection, and then reassemble the front bumper onto the truck. Here are a couple links from @Diode Dynamics and Yota Expedition for ya.

How easy or difficult to adjust beam height once installed? Can the adjustments be access with removal of the fob light bezel/trim?

You can make adjustments. It’s a pita but you can do it. Easiest way I’ve found is take off the fog bezel and fit a ratchet in there. Then you can loosen and adjust.

Did you replace it with the clear lens on amber stealth? or did you do the just all Driving lens on the amber LB?

I think he swapped the amber stealth lens to clear. I'm in the process of doing that as well as its not bright enough.

Here is a comparison, shows the OEM's are pretty good too.

Hello all. Thinking of getting the DD stealth light bar but keep hearing about bracket issues one guy used a hammer to correctly align the light bar. this is from older posts. Anyone buy one in the last year and have issues with the brackets.

I have the bar on my current truck, I also installed and removed it from my 2023 1794.

I had no issue with the brackets, just follow the instruction videos on YouTube and you can’t go wrong.

has anyone wired one of these to a iforce max? I'm asking because the video shows how to wire with the battery under the hood. I am wondering if there were any challenges wiring with the battery under the rear seat?

You can either use the positive post in the fuse box and the ground next to it (search up DD ditch light install) or run them to the battery in the back.

The stealth bar works. I suggest since you will be removing the bumpers for install, pick up the DD fogs, do both at the same time.

Been there done that. Not difficult, takes a bit of time.
If you want the light bar to come on with highbeams, will need the canbus module.

    Mounted next to battery:

    What is this picture of?

my grill and stealth bars are wired to a canbus module which is nice. Might get some morimoto big bangers and add them to a canbus as well. That would be mad light.

When I installed, the fogs were aligned ok. The stealth bar, thought I had level at install. After all together the beams were low. Adjusting through the grill opening can be done with much patience. My suggestion is to mount it up a degree or two as it will be easier to adjust down that up.
